Got this in a newsletter from My Chemical Romance and MCRmy: So, there you go, you lucky US people. Most of these dates aren't on their official site yet, though, but they'll probably be up soon.
Even though more dates are going to be announced, I'm willing to bet they won't come anywhere near me just like they always do. Last year's Projekt Rev was an exception though.
I'm gonna go to the April 19th show. Can't wait. I am kind of perplexed as to why they decided to do another tour when I thought they said they were taking a break and then going to write a new album. I think they're in a good point in their career right now and they don't want to take a break like Linkin Park did and have to re-enter the mainstream. It'd put a lot of unneeded pressure on the fourth disc. Hopefully this means that when they're done touring, they would begin writing/recording.
No Pennsylvania/NJ yet? Hmm. Hopefully they announce dates there soon and don't blow us off like Linkin Park's tour manager did with the current North America tour, cause I'm definitely going to see MCR/LP when they come into town next. Come to think about it, they NEVER made up the Reading, PA date they had to cancel and that's literally 10 minutes away from me. I pray they're returning to the Sovereign Center for this tour. The Black Parade still remains one of my favorite albums to listen to frequently.
I think they're gonna take like a one month long break, then tour the U.S, then break again, then start writing/recording. Hopefully, at least. XD
Looks like they're playing MUCH smaller venues. They really want that feeling back when they were just starting out I think. The venue they're playing here hasn't been played by them in like 3 years. I really hope it doesn't sell out before I can grab tickets. EDIT: For Andrea and Derek, they're playing The Electric Factory on May 6th
There's a presale that starts tomorrow at 1PM Local time. I believe that show is part of it http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vbXljaGVtaWNhbHJvbWFuY2UuZHVjYXRraW5nLmNvbS8=
These dates go on pre-sale today - Tuesday, February 19th at 1 PM - (except for the ones with **): Get tickets at http://mychemicalromance.ducatking.com/
I didn't get tickets for the Electric Factory show. They sold out almost right away and besides, I just wasn't feeling going to that particular venue all that much. While the Electric Factory is an extremely good venue for certain types of bands (i.e. Evanescence), with the amount of rowdiness an MCR concert can generate, it is going to be a chaotic mess to throw a concert in such a tiny sized venue. It was either buy tickets and get skinned alive by the crowds...or wait until they come back around for a large arena tour (or make up that Reading, PA date) and go then. I chose option B. I can wait .
The Electric Factory tickets will go on sale publicly this Saturday. It looks like only the PRESALE tickets sold out. I may still go, I'm debating it.
The Electric Factory tickets ended up going on sale publicly today (the previous ones listed were for reserved presale tickets only) and after much thought I decided to buy 3 tickets of my own to go to the show. Fuck it . It's gonna be one hell of a concert and nothing will stop me from going. Not even out of control crowds .
