Well my MacBook arrived today (4 days early! WOOHOO!) and I was wondering what music players there are for the Mac other than iTunes.

I was using Winamp before and when I tried downloading it, the laptop wouldn't recognize .exe files. I'm an Apple n00b and I would just like a little help in this area. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there is a Winamp for Mac somewhere.

The only one I've found is not recommended for OSX. So yeah. Maybe I'm going about this all wrong.

Oh...well I just looked at it was some weird alpha thing that didn't look official or anything, so I dunno. What's wrong with iTunes? You can get some awesome skins for it.

Just the way it works is annoying to me.

*thumbs up* I was using VLC before I fixed iTunes (osx86 = buggy), but one problem I ran into: if you're going to mass import folders of music, and you want random songs, you have to open/expand each folder (in the playlist). Fucking annoying when you have a shitload of artists.

I don't think there's anything else worth mentioning, so yeah. VLC or iTunes.

I really like iTunes, but I used it on Windows before I got a Mac.
VLC is nice, but I haven't used it for music, only for videos that won't play in Quicktime.

and .exe's don't work with Macs, thats a Windows application.
Mac applications are .app I think.

What is annoying about iTunes. I love it! It's so simple and fast and easy... I would never change to anything else.
