I undertook this challenge recently at the behest of a friend for her birthday. She asked all of us to make a mix CD that best represents YOU. It was probably the most fun I'd had making a CD in quite a long time. And I was very surprised and satisfied with the end result. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I ended up burning a copy for myself and it's now in permanent rotation in my car.

So, oh dear fellow connoisseurs of music, I bestow this challenge/activity/request/thing upon you. I want (and I'm sure everyone else wants) to hear a collection of songs that best describes you, or represents who you are and what you feel.

    Now, for some ground rules:

    1. You must have have at least 10 songs, and 20 maximum.
    2. Only one song per artist. I don't wanna hear any "Just make a copy of so-and-so's album".

    Other than that, go wild!

And for full disclosure, here's the mix I mentioned earlier in the post: Go here and click 'Play All' at the top.

What you put together may surprise you; I know it surprised me. I look forward to hearing your mix!

The difference is Grooveshark isn't just a playlist maker, and has a pretty wide selection of songs (i.e. I didn't expect them to have any of the foreign songs on my playlist, but they were there). I've had bad experiences with Mixpod in the past and I'm currently exploring all the new music start-ups I haven't had a chance to get into. I don't prefer Grooveshark heavily by any means, it was just the place that had all the songs I wanted to use.
