This year they have done so under the categories of 'Best Rock' and 'Best World Stage' Start getting pumped up—the MTV EMAs are coming to Belfast! If Linkin Park wins, then good for the fans who took the time to vote for their favourite band. If they don't, it makes no difference as its not a loss. So win win. I've lost the little interest i had for any MTV awards that have become a masturbation to whatever new thing is current.

I doubt LP will win any of them. I personally love them but Foo Fighters are huge this year with their latest album, no reason they shouldn't be. Kings of Leon are pretty popular this year too. The only thing they have a chance at is world but even then I doubt it.
I agree with you on this one. While at the same time, I agree with the quote below... People tend to vote for their favourite band, even if they are not the best nomination in the relevant category. This is fine, but at the same time, is what's wrong with the public voted awards. All awards should be judged by a professional judging panel. I know this won't happen though, for obvious reasons. Shame. However, we all know who the best band is, right?!
What makes a professional judge? They are still going to have a bias. All award shows are opinions. No matter how you cut it. I dont pay attention to these opinions simply because I give not one fuck about the general media and thier opinions that they push on people that are not willing to think for themselves.
