    The beta for the upcoming MSN Messenger 7.0 has been leaked onto the web in the past couple of days, im just about to install it so i'll tell you what i think of it, i wont post links, but most of you will know where to go anyway

    When a contact signs on, their display picture is displayed in the little sign-in box. It looks alot sleaker, too. I just now installed it, but I'm sure there are more new features.

    Wasn't the last MSN Messenger like, 6.2? How did they jump to 7.0 so fast?

    I Heard somewhere 7.0 dosnt fully come out till about febuary? could be wrong, the beta was supposed to be released in november though


    Have to say i like it, even though it has crashed a couple of times earlier, its fine now though :)

    Bloody hell, i've only just settled in with 6.2 and Plus 3. Don't think i'll be getting this for a bit.

    You have to have flash to do the 'Winks', too. So if you download it, get flash too.

    EDIT: I would suggest against downloading this if you have Windows 98. It's been said that if you download Version 7, and you're running anything but XP, it will give your viruses and whatnot.

    Do you know what kind of viruses or problems it can give if you are running 98?

    I've heard MSN 7 shuts down on you alot, and it doesn't appear in the Start Menu like it should.

    Nothing on viruses yet. Might be a hoex about the viruses, but I know for a fact it's buggy as #### on 98.

    Im running it pretty smoothly on Windows ME, quite like the new msn

    MSN 7.0 isn't bad, it just seems a little too like Yahoo! Messenger now. MSN needs to come up with it's own ideas.

    It's just the beta, right?

    I can't wait......

    Windows 98 sucks as$. I had it in Ecuador, along with a really cheap computer and connection. The pain and the desperation I had in that compuer can't be expressed in words. 98 sucks. Period.

    Tell me about it, i'm running the equavilant now. My PC freezes, skips and i get the microsoft error message every time it can't handle something, i'm running broadband though, which sucks more because my PC will cut off it takes too much flash or...anything really. :argh:
