I really want an MP3 player- one that contains 10 and over GB.
I've looked at an iPod and some others and have no idea what to get. Can you guys recommend some MP3 players that you like? Pros and Cons?

Get the 20 GB Ipods if you have the money. I prefer the mini Ipods though which can take 4 GB of music files.

Honeslty i strongly recomend that you don't get an ipod. I work at an electronic store and ipods always come back with some kind if warranty problem. The worse part of that is that we aren't allowed ot do anything with them casue apple prefers that the customer takes the unit to them or ship it to them whatever is more convenient. On top of that I havn't heard anyone say anything good aobut ipods, i hear the batter is shit. Although i know that their new line if ipod minis are actually supposed to be good. Honestly i owuld go with a minidisc player.

Ipod Minis are garbage because there's a manufacture problem with the PLASTIC piece that seperates the hold button from the audio jack. One that breaks (it breaks within a few weeks, trust me I'm not alone -- look it up on the net) your audio skips and fucks up completely. Not to mention the piece of shit locks up NUMEROUS TIMES DAILY. Oh, and don't forget the really bad battery life!

Get a Creative Nomad Zen Xtra 30 GB for the SAME price as an Apple Ipod Mini that ONLY HOLDS 4GB. Come on, 4gb for 250 bucks?! Get the fuck outta here!

Alright so I'll look into the Creative and the iRiver
I was also looking at the Dell DJ. Any thoughts about that?
    Anymore comments? :)

Dell DJ I heard uses crappy software to transfer music; might be wrong there. The iRivers I heard don't hold too much and pricing is a rip off. If you want real reviews, check out cnet.com. B)

I took a look at Creative and was trying to decide between the Zen and the Zen Xtra.

Compare both products at Cnet.com and see what you need and don't need so you can decide. And get a pink one like she said. :)

iPod's are overated and overpriced. Just because it's an Apple product. Damn.

I saw 4GB iPod Mini and a 5GB Rio Carbon side by side in a flyer. iPod was about $60 more than the Carbon. I'd rather save $60 and have the 1GB. ;) Plus I own a Rio Nitrus [1.5GB]. Great thing, but recently I had to send it back to Rio, took a fuckin month for them to send me a new one after I sent them mine. And the packing list or w/e it is was dated on Dec 15. I sent my Nitrus over a month ago. There's a downside with Rio Canada I guess.

I'd get a Zen or a regular iPod. My iPod works wonders, I love it. But I've heard incredibly good things about the Zen.

I think iPods are overrated. I wouldn't want one unless it was hella cheap.

Howm much storage space are you looking for? My MP3/CD player can play 700mb CD-RWs jammed packed with at least 100-120 songs. More than enough. And they're cheap. All you need is a burner, cd-rw, and you're set.

I have an iPod and love it. Then again, I'm biased because I'm an owner of 2 Macs and an Apple junkie :D

    Necessity: over 5 GB
Preference: 10 and over, because I am going to add more music.

@people who own iPods, what are the cons (even tiny little things) of iPods?

I used to own a mini. Cons:

Shitty battery life. WTF, I'd charge it, it'd read fully-charged and then It'd die on me in no time.

It freezes up all the damn time! Then you have restart the entire thing and it's a pain in the ass.
