So I was listening to a particular Korn track, when this question came to mind. What is the most emotional album you've ever heard. A few older artists come to mind. Janis Joplin, she was the queen of soul. Led Zep always made amazing emotional music. But I think the most emotional music comes from more recent albums. LP is amazing but not the most emotional (in my opinion). I think the most emotional album of all time is Korn's debut. Its so raw and dark. Daddy alone is such a fucked up track. The hidden track at the end always freaks me out. Slipknots first 2 albums are runners up. What do ya think

What kind of emotions are we talking about? All music, to me, illicits some kind of emotion. To pick an album that's more emotional than every other album is a really broad statement.

City and Colour's Sometimes is pretty emotional.

Cold's Year of the Spider has its moments as well.

Bright Eyes - Fevers and Mirrors is the correct answer.

    You're welcome.

Pretty much any Iron & Wine album, except for Kiss Each Other Clean. Still a great album, but less depressing than the others.

I can definitely agree with Fair to Midland - Fables From A Mayfly and Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral.

    Some others:
    Karnivool - Sound Awake
Birds Of Tokyo - Birds Of Tokyo (2010)
The Parlor Mob - And You Were A Crow
    Sully Erna - Avalon
    Rob Dougan - Furious Angels
Inspired Flight - We All Want To Fly
Pretty much anything by the band Ra lol

Other then that I very much agree with Hybrid on this one. All music has some sort of emotion. Or even lack there of in some cases.

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral.

That thing makes you live the concept, I get scared I'm gonna off myself sometimes if I listen to the whole thing.

From the album's I've been listening to recently, the only ones that I think are emotional are:

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral/The Fragile
Armor for Sleep - What to Do When You Are Dead

Incubus - If Not Now, When?from this year is pretty emotional I'd say. The melodies are very soulful and tug at your heartstrings.
