monks,meteora and somewhere i belong

well ne ways...dont know if this has appeared here or not...but meteora's are like a cliff thing with a monastrie on top of it and the monks are in the video...just a little thing

 

The monks have nothing to do with Meteora. Remember the flying monks in the "One Step Closer" video? Yeah, they brought them back.

 

the flying monks? i thought those were flying ass-kickers with wrestling paint on them! i love that video. the chic in the beginning is HOT.

The monks were used as a prop which deals with the lyrics. Notice that when Mike raps "Cause I cant justify the way everyone is looking at me..." all the monks are staring at him? Thats basically what they were used for, and just to create an erie feeling to it.

 

I totally agree, however it could have been diff from monks, but Joe has this thing for creepy monks...

 

Actually throughout the Making Of The Video they referred to them as 'Drones'. So they're Drones/Monks/Creepy People

 

" I put a kink in the backbones of crones with microphones"

Not totall sure on what that means, but I'm pretty sure theyre refering to the crones

Yea , Joe does have a thing for creepy creatures , like the creatures in SIB , i personally think Joe looks like one of the Monks , no offense

i love the monk idea. i kinda understand the way Joe and Mike and maybe the rest of the band thinks when it comes to art. its hard to explain..but i personnally think that Joe used the monks as a spirtual and artistic element, in their videos. in Japan or Tibit monks have that style and that style of clothing and they are represented to be very peaceful and beautiful. so joe probably took that idea and reverse it. monks are beautiful but what if you put them in a very dreadful and dark background, etc.,? how will the effect be? very different....rite and i think thats what joe wants the band to live up to. different in style, in music etc.,
the way i draw my sketches is like exact same style joe and mike draws, paints or whatever. just before the points of authority vid., came out, the droids u see in the video, i used to draw sketches of the almost same droids. i create something in my head for example a futuristic droids and ones thats in my head i always jot it down. whatever comes into my head. so i think joe did the same for the videos and all the artworks that they have produced.
whatever....thats my opinion.
