Mike's Top 10 CD's of 2003

    In a recent survey put out to bands by Shoutweb.com, artists were asked to list their top ten cd's of the year 2003. Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park was asked to participate and listed the following ten cd's;

    01: Coldplay - "A Rush Of Blood To The Head "
    02: 50 Cent - "Get Rich Or Die Trying"
    03: Thrice - "The Artist In The Ambulance"
    04: Jay-Z - "The Black Album"
    05: AFI - "Sing The Sorrow"
    06: Metallica - "St. Anger"
    07: Talib Kweli - "Quality"
    08: Foo Fighters - "One By One"
    09: Atmosphere - "Seven's Travels"
    10: Zion I - "Deep Water Slang"

    LP's "Meteora" was also picked in the top 10 lists of Kris Kohls from Adema (#9), Beau Burchell from Saosin (#8), Shoutweb.com's Therese McKeon (#4), and Soil's Shaun Glass (#8) and Tim King (#7).

    I like 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9. I used to like 6, but I hate that CD now.

    edit: and Mike is into that gangsta music :lol:

    I can't believe mike is into that sellout 50 Cent. He has no talent what so ever and proof of how much of a sellout he is, is in the title "Get Rich Or Die Trying" looks like 50 cared more about money before he even got famous.

    Since the new rules prefer that you give a reason instead of flat out bashing an artist I will give the reason. I honestly think that 50 Cent wouldn't be half as popular if he wasnt signed by Eminem and that's just my honest opinion, to see his CD on a #2 list when I've heard much better rappers out there, just disgusts me. I'm sorry to whoever I offended but thats just how I feel.

    I haven't bought any of those CD's but I will be buying AFI at some time. I have their "Art Of Drowning" CD though, it's okay.

    I totally agree with you Derek. I mean, if it wasn't for Eminem, most likely he wouldn't be were he is now. Or perhaps he would of changed his raps and than get signed. But anyhoo.

    Coldplay is at 1 ! That band rawks. :)

    yeah that sux. I've never really heard of the other CDs, but I've listened to St. Anger and I thought it was pretty good. I would have put Meteora on number 1.

    what? coldplay is an awesome band! love those guys and glad they are a fave of mikes as well, kinda makes up for 50, but not quite

    The only good band Mike picked was Thrice.

    They're AMAZING.

    Interesting choices...I agree with some and disagree with others. The one I agree with strongly is Coldplay.
    The one I disagree with strongly is Metallica.

    Same..but I kinda disagree with 50 Cent more than I disagree with Metallica.
