According to a recent interview Mike Shinoda did with Yellow Rat Bastard Magazine about Fort Minor, Mike was asked "Are you working with any other artists outside your newly formed Machine Shop family?", to which Mike replied; "I just helped score the MTV VMAs. Those beats, and the fact that people are starting to hear this Fort Minor music, has gotten me a lot of calls to produce songs for people. I did a track on Lupe Fiasco's upcoming album, songs for Styles of Beyond, and worked with Chad [Hugo] from The Neptunes on a song for Kenna. On the rock side, I'm about to get started on a remix of U2 and hopefully a song with Sting. I don't know what will all pan out, but I just go where the path takes me." When asked "Are there artists out there you want to work with?", Mike said; "I think M.I.A is really dope. The song "Bucky Done Gun" was our theme song when we were touring in Europe this year. I also should shout out to my man Ghostface, because he and I have been trying to get together to do a song since he toured with me on Projekt Revolution last year. We'll make it happen at some point." This interview appears to have taken place during the creation of the mixtape, and Mike may have been talking about "Spraypaint & Inkpens" from the 'We Major' mixtape, which Ghostface was featured on, along with Lupe Fiasco. Thats cool. I'm glad Mike's extra talent is being noticed. I just hope all this work doesnt get in the way of the next LP album. He has to get tired eventually right? hehehe
Sounds good, but hopefully because this interview was a while ago, most of these projects are already complete, this way they can't stand in the way of the new Linkin Park album.
