A week after the reveal that Linkin Park's new single "Guilty All The Same" features a guest verse by Rakim, band member Mike Shinoda has revealed to us via a tweet to fellow band member Chester Bennington that the band have worked with another guest in the studio. Unfortunately, Shinoda has provided no other details or hints regarding who this guest is or what project the collaboration is intended for, but just that it has gone well. This news also comes in the wake of a rather surprising request via Twitter for fans to contribute a recording of "a live goat that screams" which will be used on the upcoming Linkin Park album, with Shinoda specifying that it has to be "the goat of an LP fan". Yeah, I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure I'm a fan of this news. In the grand scheme of things, good music is good music I guess, but it just feels like Linkin Park should challenge themselves to make great music without the help of others.
#LPGoat or else, Mike! In all seriousness, I'm all for it! As long as it's amazing to me, I don't mind another feature.
Hopefully, It's not vocally. Maybe it's a mixer, or someone doing an instrument. Jeez, this album. They are going against every statement they have ever made about what they will not do.
One more thing, is it Idina Menzel? Chester has been singing "Let It Go" in Mike's Instagram videos, so there's that!
Hopefully a female guest vocalist on something like this!
@Blackout Hopefully it just ends up nothing like that though. People come on, stop bitching about LP thinking outside the box. They have simple just changed their mind about guest features on studio albums - NO big deal. Can't wait to hear who it is!
