    Mike Shinoda recently did an interview with MTV, discussing why their latest single, "Iridescent", was picked for the latest Transformers movie soundtrack.

    I'm little bit confused about being it a single... A 4th Regular single for ATS or transformers promotional single? which one?

    I'll think of it as both; if "Iridescent" doesn't count as a single from "A Thousand Suns" and they want five singles, they'd want to put out another two singles to put the total up to five ... so, then, you have six songs from the album as singles, which is well more than half the album. :" Add to that, the fact that they've already begun work on the follow-up to "A Thousand Suns"; I get the sense that this album cycle's not far from a close. So, like, maybe one more single after "Iridescent" or something

    At least he answered the only burning question i had about the song choice for Transformers. Even though i still don't think crap like Transformers and a great song like Iridescent go together, i don't have a problem with it. It's LP's song so they can do whatever they want with it.

    They've made a musical appearance in EVERY Transformers movie... I think somebody is sleeping with the director or something... 0.0
