I think Mike at least want it to be a Linkin Park song but since not all members are readily back to music as Mike is..
I can see that. Mike also put out Place to Start as a Solo track even though it started out as a Linkin Park demo and Rob also worked on it.. Guess well have to wait and see.
Thank you for posting this! This gets me even more excited! Doubtful but I would love a Kendrick Lamar feature
The imagery in the first verse of NMSA is beautiful and heartbreaking. That song is honestly a contender for my favorite thing Mike has ever written.
Agree. I didn't notice it until today. Really some of the most poignant shit he's done. Anyone who would say Mike's songwriting has regressed would be sooo wrong.
I like the instrumentals of NMSA. Sounds like a guitar with the highs cut out and some other filters applied to it. I almost got a NIN vibe with that song. (almost)
I watched the videos today. Mike's doing an awesome job keeping us together, sharing the hype for the album. Both vids are very well done and triumph at getting the lyrics across. I noticed in NMSA's, at one point you can see a screen cursor moving, upside-down. I really doubt that's accidental, and it just helps the feeling of utter confusion Mike conveys through the song and the video. That said, I don't know what I'll do when the album's out. In this country of mine, I'd be lucky if I got it physical this decade, and for the sake of everything that's morally and legally correct in this civilized Earth I really, really do not want to "acquire" this one. Guess it'll be YouTube then (assuming he'll release them all there too, as LP did)... That T-shirt looks cool indeed. The whole website's very cool, actually. I'm totally digging that // thing // with the links.
I think realistically we may get Chino Moreno on a track. They've both to deal with the passing of a band member and a worked together before. It also helps that Mike straight up said he'd been talking to Chino recently in that one interview on Thursday.
Hi guys, I know this is off-topic, but I was wondering today what Brad, Joe and Rob are up to? I love all the attention Mike is getting, but I would love to hear how the other guys are doing
Regarding collabs, I'd love Mike to work with Ilsey Juber again, I was really blown away by her at the tribute show. In fact I think any female vocalist would really add a new dynamic to his music. Mike said Rob's on a 'spiritual vegan retreat'. Dave's doing his podcast as I'm sure you know. He hasn't talked about the others except that Brad helped him out a little with the new album. But I'm sure they're fine, just enjoying being out of the limelight for a while.
I agree completely. She did an amazing job at the tribute show. I also wouldn't be opposed to hear some contributions from her on Linkin Park's future endeavor. As a side note - Brad and Rob are wearing the exact same shoes and pants in that picture. As another side note - All five of the songs we've heard from Post Traumatic have grown on me exponentially. I jammed out to Crossing A Line a lot yesterday. It's fantastic to have a song oozing with hopefulness.
