This cover is so The Rising Tied-esque. Love it. Hit or miss on the music tho. I enjoyed watching him making the songs on stream, but I dont know if I want to buy an album of them. But damn, the new Open Doors, Osiris, and SG tracks are pretty fire.
Instrumental album? Can't say I'm looking forward for it judging by Open Doors and the little bit of the streams I checked, but nice to see him having fun making this stuff.
I think what's worth mentioning is that this is Mike's first independent release under his own Kenji Kobayashi Productions banner and Warner isn't involved which is pretty cool.
I was already loving the previous version of Open door - but this new one is even better! The new/fan vocals really add something unique to the track.
Pretty cool, will be buying. Love me anything Mike. ALSO, today is my birthday and I got a happy birthday text from him. Pretty cool!
I actually got the text from him hours before he said he was taking questions. This was his text to me: "Going live, only on Twitch! NEW MUSIC TODAY! Open Door plus two tracks from the NEW ALBUM. Subscriptions and bits have been enabled, join me only on Twitch: https://m.community.com/cgOOkwWLJSVh4K32DH (stream will be posted to Youtube afterwards)" "Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
Despite me not being a big fan of Open Door, the fan vocals that he brought on really do bring the song to another level. I could do with the song just being the chorus repeated. So damn catchy and uplifting. This was a really cool thing that Mike put together, and a great way to spread positivity during such a stressful time
