According to Ryu from 'Styles of Beyond', an act featured on Fort Minor, the FM Mixtape is nearing completion, with only a handful of verses remaining to be recorded. He says: "i don't know when it's being released we are basically done with it, we are waiting on 2 more verses from guest appearances and i think it's ready to be released.maybe about 15 songs. just hip hop stuff. don't expect it to sound in anyway like fort minor. if your an LP fan, this mixtape might not be your cup of tea. i think it's really dope though." Furthermore, Ryu proclaims that "there is a couple big name guests on the mixtape", possibly hinting to Jay-Z, who executive produced Fort Minor's 'The Rising Tied'. Jay-Z publically went into retirement after his final release, 'The Black Album'. In addition, Mike Shinoda's Machine Shop marketing has opened Machine Shop Mixtape, a collective ground that contains songs from hard-rock bands like Staind and Taproot. The site also features a look into studio mixing with DJ Muggs from Cyprus Hill. Thanks Paul & |2awk.Star
A mixtape? Along with the album itself? Plus a DVD for limited edition? Damn, that's a lot of stuff coming out at once.
Huh? I thought this mix tape will be coming out soon, not with the album. And I thought that Mike said that there may be a DVD with Fort Minor.. Anyway, I'll probably buy this, and I almost guarantee I will if Jay-Z is on it.
Yes the mixtape will probably be coming out sometime this month, i would guess around the end of the month. Then when The Rising Tied is released it will released as a seperate cd as well as a limited edition cd/dvd package.
