Seems like Mike had a blast covering those songs, he's smiling all along I hope a video of Sex Type Thing will surface too, I love this song, can't wait to listen to Chester's take on it!
Thanks for the vids, Ree! This just further cements my opinions that LP need to have more covers in their repertoire.
Seems like Mike is trying to earn some credibility in the Rock&Roll crowd while also practicing singing more live. I think that a lot of the problems with his live singing is that he feels really nervous about it and it makes it hard for him to concentrate. I think that he feels much more natural rapping than singing and that these types of things will help him greatly.
Yeah, that certainly seems to be the case. I highly respect Mike as an accomplished musician in most rights, but sometimes his live singing is below standard. I'm actually surprised that they don't utilize more special effects in regards to his voice, in particular his singing verse in Victimized. It doesn't sound too good live but it also has more effects in the studio version, right?
Here's a video of them playing Like A Rolling Stone with Chester from the concert they played on the 6th. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z5eWmF3peE
Don't think I've ever seen Mike with such a big grin on his face during a show! Seemed to be really enjoying himself!
I'm sure a lot of people here would say this, but these two really are some of my biggest idols. I look up to them so much, they're genuinely good people and have so much talent. I love seeing the two of them do stuff like this together.
All those performances with Camp Freddy are absolutely great and awesome. Everything Chester did in the last years with Camp Freddy, too. It makes me so sad, that this videos and songs are not available in good quality. I nearly would give everything for it to have those songs in good quality (audio and video). Chester and Mike are so talented guys, when they cover songs, it is just greatness.
