We have just witnessed in a way, the return of Mike the rapper, in the song Rock & Roll [could never hip hop like this] Part 2. If you remember though after HT, mike did a side project called It's Going Down, where he showed his skills to be better than that on the HT album; After the Meteora CD dropped, Mike almost seemed to put his rap on the rack and left it, what he did on Meteora was weak at best, cept for maybe Hit the Floor. Now he took his raps off the rack and put them off the chain, but will he regress back into the "album rap", thanks to Don Gilmore and be another Meteora, or will he actually show his talent and not let his lyrics get watered down? What are your thoughts on this?
I think Don gilmore isn't gonna be the producer anymore , probal mike will use his skills but only n a few tracks (not on the single I think what I do hope )
I think Don WILL produce the next album. the guys are pretty fond of him. i think he did a great job with ht and meteora.. My opinion...
We are amoung the few who believe he did a good job on Meteora. I do think Mike should do the next one though; after all he is the glue.
I'm willing to bet Mr Gilmore does indeed produce the next album. Did Mike co-produce Meteora? If not, I'm going to say he co-produces on the next album.
I know Warner Bros. loves LP, and as much of a success they are, I just don't think they'll allow Mike to produce the whole thing without someone there to watch over him. Gotta keep it radio friendly, you know. And what's the best way to keep it radio friendly, you ask? Have Don Gilmore come in a make Hybrid Theory Version 3!!!
what song is this? nah, im pretty sure there'll be no more don gilmore
Same quiestion :wth:
!!! LP went downhill with Meteora though. So, if Don Gilmore produces the next album, I think it'll be the greatest flop of all time
!!! LP went downhill with Meteora though. So, if Don Gilmore produces the next album, I think it'll be the greatest flop of all time
just let handomse boy modeling school or rick rubin produce it^^ , for sure not Don gilmore < it wil ruin all good news I've heard from lp
I wouldn't want Handsome Boy Modelling Shcool to do it. All they did with that "Rock and Roll" song was sample random songs and make the song crappy. The only bright parts of the song were Mike's and Chester's parts, and they wrote those.
I think Meteora was really good, but compared to HT standards it is a letdown, that's why I think Don should go. I think Mike could do better, but the next producer could be anyone. To me, maybe the band, not only Mike, could produce the next album. As a matter of fact, the original EP was produced by the whole band, as Hybrid Theory.
I think the guys in LP like Don alot to produce two albums with him but I don't think it will happen again. Meteora was great why doesnt anyone like it/think it was a let down??? I still like HT better but Meteora was really good.
You know something is wrong when your 2nd album sounds the same as your debut. Or rather, really, really close to the same as your debut. Anywho.
