Linkin Park have now made available TWO tee shirt designs that were previously put for public vote on Mike Shinoda's Blog:

"Based on the voting, it seems you guys liked both designs for the MFR t-shirt…so we decided to do both!

They are now for sale on the official Linkin Park web store. Proceeds from these t-shirts will be donated to Music for Relief to help survivors of the 8.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan and subsequent tsunami."

You can check out the two designs below. The "Butterfly" tee is now available in both men's & girl's sizes, where as the "Not Alone" tee is available in Men's only. Shirts ship April 8th.

You can also also text ‘MFR’ to 85944 to donate $10 to Tsunami Relief or click here to donate online.

Smart move imho. I originally wasn't for them doing both due to time constraints, but it's a wise idea and will mean more money for Japan. Great work LP. Proud to support this band!

They should've made the butterfly one for men too though.

    But...THAT WASN'T AN OPTION :FUUUUUU:.

Nah, seriously though, I'm getting the butterfly one now! :)

Link doesn't work for me all the sudden. And thanks for the warning Derek, haha.

*Link also doesn't work on LP's Facebook so they must be making changes. Maybe they forgot to add the mens for the one shirt :awesome:

Oh look, the "full stop" at the end of the Not Alone tee IS a LP logo... I'm so glad Dumbledore, Nemo & Keaton agreed with me when I pointed that out the other day. :whistling

Oh look, Mike chose an option that wasn't in the poll. I thought people responding they like both were wasting time? Hmm...:whistling

Wasting a time? Which time are we speaking of? There was always a possibility they could release both, it was never a possibility that it wasn't the logo. :p

I never said it wasn't a logo. I said it didn't look like one, but if it was, it'd have to be an inverted version.

Get yo facts straight, fool! Don't rope me in with that silly wizard and clown fish. :p

Meh, I guess I'll get the Not Alone one. I just wish there was a more prominent LP logo somewhere :/

True, true. I apologize, at least unlike the other two you didn't try to make me think I was crazy!

It's better that it's not so prominent! I like how it's a understated detail in comparison to the rest of the design. It's a shame the butterfly tee is a girls fit, but it's good they have put both out. I'll probably pick up the butterfly tee and see how it fits. :kappa:

It really is a shame that the origami tee is a girl's shirt. Wouldn't it make more sense to have both designs in both standard and girl cuts? Or would that just take more time to produce?..

right on! i wouldn't really want a giant LP logo on something designed to display the effort for Japan. I would actually wear this shirt often. However I'm all for the not alone shirt instead haha. I guess I always thought the butterfly tshirt would be too hard to decipher for others. It's cool but I always liked the not alone one

The origami design clearly looked like a "girlie" design to me when I first saw it on Mike's blog. It reminds me of the "pussy bow" (no dirty meaning here) design that you can find on some women's clothing. Both T-shirts are nice and I'm glad they put them both out.

I think it's less about time and more about money. Taking too much of a financial hit won't make the cause as effective as it could be. Having one type of t-shirt is the most efficient, but since people's tastes vary (and thank Cthulhu there's a girl's cut. Now I'm actually going to buy one) two might create the most sales. Too many shirts and that's not efficient: you might get some types of prints sitting on a warehouse floor not being sold.

    Oh look, it's a cccccccc-ombo breaker. :whistling:

But in all seriousness, with the original images given to us, it's not like it was possible to really tell first hand.

In other news and back on topic, I'm kinda glad they did both shirts. It means more money for the cause and most people get what they want, albeit, the butterfly is girls only.

    Awesome! He went with both!

Damn! The one I wanted is a girl tee!

But still a great cause. I hope to grab one of them by next payday. :awesome:
