I wanted to post(*EDIT* changed 'pist' to 'post' on April 8) this earlier but I deleted it but then I found it on a disk Ok well this may seem corny but here is a 'journal' type thing I did the night I got Meteora *begin transmission* My Meteora Experience March 25, 2003 *just before my mom brought Meteora home* It is now roughly 5:45, 15 minutes until I get Meteora, after 100 and some odd days of waiting (possibly more, can't think now ) I am glad that I only allowed myself to hear what [LP] allowed us to hear. My mom just drove in the driveway, its 5:47, Meteora is only minutes away. I can't wait to hear the album. She is coming in now, so I have about 5 minutes to reflect on what the past few weeks have been like. More than 2 months ago - Thinking that it would arrive eventually and it would be cool. Then the pressure built on causing Meteora fever About 2 months ago - Thinking today would never arrive This past Month - Heard some songs from the album which got me totally psyched for the album This past week - Couldn't stop thinking about Meteora Today - Going crazy, couldn't wait for Meteora, drew a big [LINKIN PARK] thing in careers class right on my notes -5:50- She just walked in... Meteora is close... -5:57- Just partially opened Meteora, stopped to type this. So excited, not sure if I even want to open it. It smells new (lol ) ok going to finish opening it now... -5:58- Ok just opened it DvD - same style case as Reanimation- Title - "the making of Meteora" Cd - Same style case as Reanimation - Has the 40 pg booklet crammed into it making it look huge. -6:20- Finished with all the special features on the disk, watched the featurette 'The Art of Meteora', liked it very much. Now onto the music... -Around 7:00- Got to 'Breaking the habit" parents going out for dinner, have to look after brother and make him dinner. Sadly I must put Meteora on hold :'( *Thougts so far* Very [LP]ish Original and Awesome, everything I expected and more. Nothing short of godlike -8:45- Finally finished Meteora, the best CD I have ever heard, well worth the long wait. *Final thoughts* Well now that I have heard Meteora, I feel as if a million pounds of pressure was lifted off my back. I guess I felt it was my duty as an [LP] fan to get and listen to the album the day it came out. Well now that I've got that out of the way, all I have to do is watch the DvD, which (from what I heard) has all the LPTV episodes on it. One problem though, it says that the approximate running time is 30 minutes and each LPTV episode is about 12 minutes. 9x12= 108 minutes, or 1 hr and 48 minutes (or something like that). Maybe it's just made of snippets of LPTV (the important 'About Meteora' stuff) I hope it has the clip of Joe smashing his head on the wall. Well enough writing for now. Today was a good day besides the fact that I broke my Cd player and a set of headphones, but it was a worthy sacrifice for Meteora. *end of transmission*
HEY! I was excited. Give me a break. At least some people enjoy it. If you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything
