I use Windows Media Player 11, Media Player Classic and Quicktime Player, and, recently, they all started skipping the first second or so of audio files I play on them. I checked for solutions here, but to no avail.

How much is being skipped from the start is random, apparently, that usually stays within one-to-two seconds.

    Can anyone help?

EDIT: I'm being told it might be 'cause my HD's a little clogged up and the RAM's too busy or something ...
EDIT: Okay, so I went and cleared 20GB from my HD -- seems to have helped :) -- just gotta wait and see if the problem re-appears later down the track, I guess.

You should have at least 10% free (I think, maybe less) on your harddrive to maintain proper stability.
