http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7385100.stm Hum. The McCann's get praise for keeping hope and free holidays to Portugal, McGuckin's get crucified. Seems fair. Or not. The McCann's basically did the same thing and got ridiculous amounts of support and money put into a pointless enquiry that was blatantly not gonna go anywhere. I'm sick of people being treated unfairly, it's ridiculous. It's like, "oh, you're a GP so we'll support you," fucking appaulling.
It seems like what the McCann's did was disgraceful, leaving their kids just to go to a tapas bar. I agree, why should they get more support? *sigh* I despise this whole case with the McCann's, because it's through their own negligence that it all happened, THEN they lobbied for all the support, THEN complained about the amount of press attention they had and wanted to quiet it down. And NOW they want attention again, ffs.
I told my parents my point of view on this whole thing, and you know what they said? "Those poor people lost their child, and you're chastising them for going to a bar?" Apparently, they haven't read up on this very much.
