It was posted on March 31st, and everyone still thinks it's a joke. I don't know what to think honestly. I've heard it's a shot at Brian Welch, but then again...I don't know. The updates on Toolband.com since then haven't said it's a prank or anything. :wth: If this is a joke, this one seriously got me.
The whole post seems pretty tongue-in-cheek to me, almost mocking. If it is true and Maynard leaves Tool and APC then that would suck arse from the music side of things.
I hope this is a shot at Brian or that "finding Jesus" will not prevent him from continuing with APC/Tool.
I don't believe it at all. If anyone truly believes it, they are extremely ignorant. If it's true, I'm fucked.
Being a huge Tool fan, this is really hurting me because I was looking forward to a new Tool CD by the end of the year. But then again, I'm not a Christian (I'm the polar opposite), but I guess if it enhances Maynard's life, then he should go with it. I'm still bummed though.
If Maynard truly found God, I'm sure he's not the typical Christian. He's always been anything but typical and conservative. If anything, Head would make a sequel to that 50 Cent diss song aimed at Maynard.
I believe you misinterpreted. Casey was suggesting that maybe Head would write a diss song aimed towards MJK.
Man, I hope this isn't true. I was also anticipating a new Tool album by the end of the year but if this is true it's not going to happen.
Apparently it's a joke since they referenced the new album on the official site today, but I see nothing of the sort.
