Well this is a weird one. Announced on April 16, 2025, Linkin Park will play at one of the biggest sports events in the world; the UEFA Champions League final. With this performance Linkin Park joins other acts like Lenny Kravitz, Imagine Dragons, Dua Lipa & Pitbull, The Black Eyed Peas, and Camilla Cabello to perform at the opening for the final, and we're sure it's safe to say that the bands performance will be one to remember. This performance interrupts the brief hiatus the band has taken from their world tour, with their latest performance being on May 17 in Florida, and the next show taking place on June 12 in Austria, but it's worth the interruption to participate in one of the most-watched sporting events in the world. This show will sure be a memorable experience for both the live audience in Munich and all of the millions of viewers watching all around the world As far as what we're expecting the band will play, it's a bit hard to say. We know from earlier that the band has made a special remix/medley of songs, as can be heard in the above trailer, but other than that we don't know if they'll perform any other songs. If they do play any full songs, one would expect songs like 'In the End' and 'Numb'. 'The Emptiness Machine' and 'Heavy is the Crown' are massive hits off of 'From Zero', so one would expect one of those songs to show up in the set in some form. The opening show will be livestreamed on YouTube and you can watch it in the embed below. Are you gonna watch this show? What songs do you think will be played? Come and discuss in our forums. SETLIST: 01: The Emptiness Machine - Shortened 02: In the End - Shortened 03: Numb - Shortened; Numb/Encore Intro 04: Heavy is the Crown - Shortened; with Sample Intro and 'Up from the Bottom'
Seeing them perform Heavy Is The Crown with the Champions League Trophy appearing during the screamed bridge would be epic - much like their performance during the Worlds 2024 Finals Ceremony. You'd expect the classics like In The End, Numb and New Divide with possibly One Step Closer and The Emptiness Machine being hinted (when this was originally rumoured and then announced with speculation on what they would play both new and old) but we'll see. It's rumoured to be 8 minutes with 6 songs total, so there will probably be 5 short songs with the one remix song the band created especially for this occasion. I can't wait - great exposure for the band during this new era with millions watching them.
Intro Numb In the End The Emptiness Machine Bleed It Out Faint Heavy is the Crown You heard it here first folks.
Purportedly it's only about an eight-minute set, based on what I saw online offhand. If that is the case, I'm guessing mostly abridged versions and/or medleys.

Good setlist. Can't believe they didn't do "New Divide", but I got 2/3 right. HITC was a surprise but a fitting choice Your sources were way off, it was actually 6 minutes
