What is better to these great movies? Personally, i've only seen both first movies.. so i dont give a opinion, but im curious about your opinions
I love the first, I enjoyed the second, but the third killed me. That was awesome. *goes to watch* edit. i like lord of the rings too
LOTR all the way! The first Matrix movie was awesome, the second wasn't that great, and the third one was pretty good.
I haven't see any of the Matrix movies. However, to me, the Lord of the Rings is just way more epic than the Matrix. I love epic movies.
Don't knock it til you try it. . If you listen to the dialogue intently then you'll understand the philosophic part of the trilogy and it's really awesome. Lort of the Rings was awesome, but The Matrix will always be my favorite movie series. The philosophic meaning, the sotryline, the acting, the effects, it's all amazing. Simply incredible.

Yes, but no effects in the world could POSSIBLY compare to Gollum. He just looked....too real. And Shelob, they used an actual spider and enlarged it for that thing. Creepy.
I presonally liked both series, and I will be buying both boxed sets of each series when they come out.

Both movies have amazing stories and I even think they kinda tie together in a sense. In LoTR, the main focus of the story is material objects. The One Ring. Sauron was obsessed with material objects. In The Matrix, The reason people were overrun was because the humans cared too much about material objects and the machines got sick of it. That's just an observation I made. What I love about LoTR is that the time it was written, it had small satricial points in it. Take the Dead Marhes from the Two Towers. Tolkien wrote that in because he himself had personal experience in WWI and he remembered seeing the people lying dead, so he referred to that. Also, Treebeard and the Ents were written to point out that no one cares much for the environment anymore. Small things like that were written about. I love the Matrix because it makes you think. Is this all real? How do we know were not in a world like that? Theres no way of us knowing. I also think its great because it points out the faults we humans have. Ok, I guess thats all I have to say.
The Wawhateverchoski brothers ( ) drew some influence from J.R.R. Tolkein. I heard that on E! one night.
I think the LotR was a way better trilogy becouse they were ment to be a trilogy but the Matrix was not. If they planned making Matrix 2 and 3 while they were writing Matrix 1 then maby it would come close to LotR but it doesnt. So LotR was better, Matrix was awsome I loved the trilogy but Star Wars will always have my top spot of trilogy around here
Star Wars will be sixology
LOL I cant wait for episode 3 I CANT WAIT FOR EPISODE 3 2005 May I think 16th
