However as time goes by and watching them repeatedly, my negative thoughts finally ebbed away. Their visual impact and deep philosophical messages have been good until now. BUT... Ok, last night when I was watching it with my girlfriend I think I finally figured it out. 1. Neo is still human, but he is in fact, dead. He was just "used" by the machines to delete the Smith program. 2. The Oracle is a special program that can see the future of The One to a given point. She cannot see past certain choices he has to make. ie. Sacrificing himself to the machines and Smith. 3. The Architect is a machine plugged into the Matrix. It built the Matrix and stays inside to watch over it. He might also be the leader of the machines. 4. Agent Smith was destroyed by the machines. When he infected Neo, the machines could finally get a lock on his programming code, so they used Neo to destroy him. Because Smith was an exile program, the machines could never get to his code. Once he infected someone that they knowingly saw in the Matrix, they could get to him. 5. The Matrix is NOT gone, it is the same as it was, but peaceful. The people being used as power sources were awakened, but they can still move in and out of the Matrix freely, just like the people awakened in Zion.

Neo and the Oracle destroyed him, well kinda of the Oracle but Neo did destroy him right before he used the Oracles eyes to see his own demies by Neo. 5. MATRIX GONE FOREVER? If you mean the program in the movie then no becouse if the robots release every one from the Matrix then how will they live? and if you mean the movies then of course not the Matrix line is going to live forever and there already making the Animatrix 2

Architect: There are levels of survival we are prepared to accept. Also, watch the special on The Matrix Online on the Revolutions dvd. It even says that the game is AFTER Revolutions and it is the lives people lead after being awoken from the Human Fields.

It doesnt matter about the OTHER directors. The brothers still have a say in what is made. Its up to them whether or not there will be an Animatrix 2 and at this point its still a rumor unless there is solid, definite, truthful proof.

[/b][/quote] Haha, you kidding me? Im one of the few people in my town that understand it. I spent an entire english class discussing with my teacher on how Matrix is a satire and everything. Needless to say, yes, I love the Matrix.
Indeed Iam glad to say that me and my friend Nick are the only people in TORONTO that understood everything about the Matrix becouse were really in to the science-fiction movies
i just watched the third matrix, and thought it dint make a whole lotta sense. i really enjoyed the first one, but the second and third ruined it for me. why would the machines build a city? why would they keep on building more machines, as this would lead to them needing more power? wouldn't it have been simpler to have just built a big tower to a level above the clouds and used solar power? also, in matrix one, morpheus says that the one could " rewrite the matrix as he saw fit", yet neo only uses his ability to fly. he never rewrites any programs. also, if zion got destroyed after the end of each "one", how would the people in it know of the existence of a past "one"?

The humans used opertation darkstar (I think it's that - but it's definately from the Animatrix) to block out the sun in order to cut off their power supply, however the machines found out that body heat generates more power and adapted to that fact so <_>' Yeah I'm a huge fan of the matrix. {{Smith}}
in matrix 3 you see neo and trinity fly above the level of the clouds. i was meaning that the machines could build a tower to above this level, and then could reach the sun
Yes, but didnt you alos notice that when they went through the clouds, the sentinels and even the ship itself died when they went through the clouds. Also kat, its Operation Dark Storm. Well the Architect himself said that the "others still in the Matrix" would be freed. This implies everyone, hence Matrix Online.
Neo is still human, but the machines used his mind to defeat Smith. By letting Smith "overwrite" himself onto Neo, they were able to lock onto his source code (like what Nate said) and destroy him. Smith is a virus. Viruses go from host to host (like Smith from person to person), and copy themselves onto their data. Smith then used the person and his/her abilities against others. When overwriting these people, Smith inherited some qualities of the host (or person). Thus, the "cookies need love like everybody does" line from the Smith that took over Sati. This also explains why the Oracle was at the bottom of the crater after Neo defeated Smith. That Smith said "Everything that has a beginning has an end", just like what the Oracle had said before. That way, Neo (or the machines, whatever you prefer) knew that the Oracle was inside of Smith slightly controlling him and giving Neo the hint to let Smith overwrite himself onto Neo. The machines then used the source code they got via Neo to destroy all the other Smiths. The oracle forsees the future of The One. She cannot see past the choices she cannot understand. The architect brings stability to the Matrix, by "balancing the equations" he makes sure that humans are forever controlled by the machines. The Oracle, by "unbalancing the equation", makes sure that the humans still have a chance. She leads "The One" towards success. Oh, and the architect is a program which created the Matrix. Six times over, I may add.
they were flying in a vehicle which used some kind of anti gravity engines to function. i thought that these engines cut out after a certain distance from something which they could propel themselves away from. a tower would not suffer this problem
But the machines would. Notice that the Sentinels that were stuck to the Logos died when they hit the clouds. Those clouds have some kind of EMP to take out the Logos and Sentinels.
when the EMP blasts hit other human electrical circuits they could not be restarted, e.g. after niobi used the EMP in the dock. i assumed this was a different cause, as trinity did restart the ship.
Things hit with an EMP can eventually be restarted, but it takes a lot of work. Im not saying the clouds have their own EMP, it was just an example. But making a tower would not help the machines. They already had the humans which made a greater power source than the sun anyway.
