The 10-disc The Ultimate Matrix DVD Gift Set will include the three Matrix movies, The Animatrix and 6 discs of "enhanced content" with over 35 hours of bonus material. SRP is expected to be in the range of $59.99. It looks like there will also be more elaborate (and more expensive) version of the set that will include all 10 discs in special packaging, along with an "exclusive resin Neo bust and an 80-page book with never-before-seen artwork and storyboards." | | Despite rumors, there will be no new director's cuts. The brothers said they were very happy with the original theatrical versions. There will be two audio commentaries for each film - one from philosophers Ken Wilber and Cornel West (who analyze the meanings behind the films), and one from three professional critics who hated all three films (no names given). According to Andy Wachowski, "It's the best idea we've ever had. It's hilarious. They just sit there and rip the #### out of us for six hours." All the footage shot for the Enter the Matrix videogame is present on the DVD for Matrix Reloaded. However, it is not cut into the film - it's a separate special feature you can view scene-by-scene. None of the special features from the original DVD releases of the trilogy will be reproduced except for what you find on Discs 2 and 7. You may see some of the same footage re-edited, but if you want to own all of the extras you'll need to keep your original DVDs too. Disk 1 - The Matrix (digitally remastered and recolored) Disk 2 - The Matrix Revisited (The SAME disc already released) Disk 3 - The Matrix Reloaded Disk 4 - The Matrix Reloaded Revisited Disk 5 - The Matrix Revolutions Disk 6 - The Matrix Revolutions Revisited Disk 7 - The Animatrix (The SAME disc already released) Disk 8 - The Roots of the Matrix Disk 9 - The Burly Man Chronicles Disk 10 - The Zion Archive Since I only own the now obsolete original transfer of the Matrix, and Matrix Reloaded DVD, I guess I wont feel too bad about buying this.
I might have to get that. I've never seen any of the movies in the trilogy, so I might as well buy them all at once.
Well, you probably know a lot of people hated the second and third one so you should be careful. I liked all three and own none of them so I may get this along with the Star Wars Trilogy too.
I have $25 down on Star Wars at Sam Goody's and as soon as this one is available for pre-order, it will be mine!
Lots of people hated the second and third films because they never locked into the philosophical part of "The Matrix" in the first movie. "The Matrix" wasn't that much of a brain-teaser, because it was a bang-bang-shoot-em-up-rescue-him movie. For those of us who loved the concept behind the first movie, movies two and three were incredible in expanding on this phenominal idea. Besides, the actions scenes in both of the other movies were incredible too. Too many people went in to "Reloaded" and "Revolutions" expecting another carbon copy ot "The Matrix", but it evolved into a great storyline and pleased many of the hardcore fans. Absolutely incredible. (I sy incredible alot. ) I can't wait to buy this set. When's it out? Sounds like a birthday/christmas present to me.
December. Probably early December, to give people time to get it for the holidays. The two commentaries have already been recorded, from what I've heard.
$60 for the whole thing, well I have 2+3 and those were the ones I hated, I should just buy Matrix and Animatrix for $20 bundle.
I've known about the Matrix Trilogy coming out in December for a while buts since my internet explorer has been messing up lately I cant go to most of my websites for this news but I am glad I found this here at the LPA and I cant beleave its 10 CDS and I CANT WAIT TO BUY IT
The 10 disks is for the Limited Edition (from the looks of it, at least). Secondly, punctuation is your friend.
woah..........woah..............gotta get that.............must save money................ "muuuuum....can i borrow £50??" "like #### can you" LOL!!! (soz im kinda hyper (even after 3hours of sleep))
From second read I think both versions are 10 disks. The Limited Edition just gives you a new package to put it in and a bust of Neo and some other (unless you're a collector) pretty useless crap.
Hehehe I sense a birthday present for a certain person...if he doesn't buy it himself... *evil glare at someone* He'd kill me if I bought that... Hehe... I'll just keep it for myself then
Hmm....Matrix Box Set, Return of the King extended......choices.... [/b][/quote] Dude, read the post I just made. Don't make me kill you. I will. Trust me. I'm evil. I learned from you
