Does anyone know how involved he was in the lyrics writing of Hybrid Theory. I know he had apart in it, but I was wondering how much. I mean, it is obvious that Hybrid Theory destroyed Meteora lyrically. I am just wondering if this is due to Mark's influence. Also, did he ahve anything to do with the EP?
Mark Wakefield was the singer of Xero. The only effect that he had was writing the first ever lyrics for songs. When Chester joined, the lyrics changed. I doubt he had anything else to do with it.
I'm guessing he wrote some riffs for the songs as well as lyrics. They wouldn't have kept his writing credits on songs like "Runaway" (since "Stick 'N Move" is basically a "Runaway" demo) if he wrote the lyrics since the lyrics completely changed. My only guess is he wrote a riff for the song or something and same with any other song he's credited on.
He became Taproot's manager, not sure if he still is though. I believe Mike thanks him in the liner notes on The Rising Tied, so he's obviously still in contact with the band though.
