Marilyn Manson threatens to 'murder' music journalists

What? Rock stars on drugs? We've never heard of that fact before. [/sacarsm] Get over it, it's a fact of life. Most rock stars of our society/past societies have been on drugs. It's no insult.

 

Both of them are pretty much dicks in this little article.

 

Manson seems to be lashing out in a fit lately because he is no longer the "voice of the generation".

 

Oh, come on, this is ridiculous. He finally gives them what they want, literally urging his fans to kill them (if that is in fact a quote) and the journalists blow it, he proves his point.

 

I was never a fan of his and he always made me "wonder". I can't say I'm surprised.

He seems like a teenager in the way he is venting on his MySpace.

 

Just because Manson is encouraging people to 'punish' journalists, there's absolutely no reason why anyone should. I'd like to think that people in general are smart enough to know that there are laws preventing physical damage to someone and/or their property.

That being said I think Manson is just asking for bad publicity this time. I was 100% on his side when his music was blamed for the Columbine massacre but there are times when Manson is quite smug and thinks he's above everyone else. He's a very smart guy and he makes alot of sense when he talks about various topical issues but for someone who claims he doesn't encourage violence he's somewhat going back on his word.

 

Though I don't condone what he said, the guy's pissed off and I'm sure we've all said 'I'm gonna kill you!' to somebody at some point, it's an empty threat. Any of us could make the same remark, only difference is he's a celebrity.

He had a bad day, just don't read too far into it.

 

I agree, but Kanye West actually has talent as a musician and performer. To me Marilyn Manson is a hack as much as anything.

 

Too bad he won't follow through on it.

 

I know what you mean. It is liked when he freaked out that MCR were ripping him off, and got pissy that Gerard "copied his outfit". I find he is doing anything to try to get SOME press to mention him and the only way he knows how is to try to start some controversy.

I mean, not only is the first I heard of this "rumour" of him on drugs, but he has defended himself against allegations of drug use by threats of murder. I think it is time for someone to grow up.

Manson did something retarded in order to get attention. Is this really news.

 

From what I heard only John Lowery is the only "clean" member of the Manson. Oh, well..,I listen to them before.

It was when people actually gave a shit about marilyn manson.

 

They gave a shit about him when they found out the kid who was behind the high school shootings was 'inspired' by Manson's hate themes throughout his songs.
