Well, I went to TVguide.com and did a search for Linkin Park and it says Making The Video will come on Tuesday; March 4th on MTV @ 11pm Eastern Time I dont know if this was posted yet but i scanned the first page of the forum and didnt see it. Then, it will repeat March 5th on MTV @ 2pm Eastern Time -- Lisa
You're welcome I also made a screen cap of what TVguide.com said incase you guys think I was making it up.
DAM IT! That's to long a wait for that video! To close to the album release I think they're doing a bad job on hyping up this album, I mean by releasing the video 2 weeks before the actual album release date. That can't be to good I mean I think LP is just relying on their fans to get the word out on their album. I think the video should had came out like 2 days after the song hit the radio air waves. But Oh well whats done is done...
this is true, except were i live it wil be 11pm, so i got to stay up late. any way about how lp is not doing such a good job on this albulm hypping, remember HT, it was aword of mouth cd, hmm, look how well that did, Meteora should do just as well if not better, LP does not need hype to sell an album, they have already proven that
true....but that would mean the album has to be just as hella good as HT in order for it to get a good word of mouth going... <_<
There isnt that much you can do to advertise an album, if you think about it. You can put commercials on the TV, but that costs a lot of money, expecially on MTV, them being as big as they are, it probably costs a lot. The only other ways are the internet, which Linkin Park have covered pretty good with their online street team and all the advertising they're getting us to do, and the other way would be word of mouth, which is being covered by the official Street Team and just everyone in general.
you can put a preview in a magore motion picture, like daredevil, or shanghi knights, when the movie comes up, or before, when all the trailers are playing, you can make a trailer for linkin park, include some mullet stuff, a few riffs, then show chester screamming, then say "HIT's stores march 25th" do it like a movie
Personally, I think to put a commercial on a Major Motion picture would be a little too mainstream. I highly dought LP will do that.
i was just kidding guys lol although the idea would work, i know, it's just not lp, do somthing so big, and talk about lots of money advertizing in front of a movie, with other trailers like "Matrix" "Hulk" and so on, it would not matter how many copies sold, they would still be in debt lol. j/k, any way, it would be cool though {sits and thinx about watching it on the grand silver screen}
