XBOX Live users can now view the first of three "Making of the Song" video installments which will document the creation process behind the brand-new Linkin Park song "A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES", a track which is set to appear on the band's remix album "Recharged" coming late next month. The three-part series will be released exclusively on XBOX Music, and the first video, "Lyric & Vocal Session", shows band members Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda hard at work in Shinoda's home studio, writing lyrics and laying down the groundwork for vocals over an early, unfinished version of the beat. Users can watch the eight-and-a-half-minute behind-the-scenes video HERE. I absolutely love videos like this. I think it is amazing to see the creative process at work. Really cool video.
I'd have loved to see a bit of Shinoda coming up with his verses but, yes, the video is great. Add another two installments and you have about half an hour of footage showing the making of one song!
is it just me or the guitar part sounds much like whativedone? interesting demo any way great making of as always and awesome dance Chaz
Cool video. I'm hopeful that the last video of the series will be right before the surprise performance at SummerSonic. I'm sure Mike and Chester were really excited and amped before hitting the stage with Aoki to debut a new song.
Can anyone upload this to YT? I can't sign up for that damn thing. I'll try again. Nvm, found the other link. Awesome.
The chorus in general sounds like What I've Done (and Given Up, and New Divide, and Burning in the Skies, and I'll Be Gone...because who needs to write a new chord progression when you can change the key, slap new lyrics on it, and 98% of your fanbase won't notice?).
