Makeup of the Band?

After the hilarious bit on the DVD:
"Do you have a little bit of Korean in you?"
"Sometimes"

I just wondered where the band are from. It's sometimes really fascinating to find out where people ethnically "come from", e.g. one of my favourite actors is Mark Dacascos, whose father is of Filipino, Spanish, and Chinese ancestry and his mother is of Irish and Japanese ancestry.

Joe Hahn is half Korean (and the other half?), and Mike is part-Japanese (which part?) - do the rest of the band have any interesting genetic ancestries?

 

Joe is fully Korean and Mike is half-Japanese, half-something-else-that's-not-Japanese.

At a meet and greet someone asked him what the other half of his ethnic makeup was and he said I think either uh...I dunno it started with either an 'R' or 'E'...

I know this sounds like a lie but my girlfriend knows Mike Shinoda's cousined. His name is Justin Shinoda...so i'll tell my girl friend to ask him about his backround

 

Mike is half japanese (4th generation born in the USA, though!) and half american!!
