If you listen to Lying From You, in the intro, the song sounds like a foreign ambulance and then you hear a car slam on the brakes right before the guitar breaks in. I've been trying for a bit, but can anyone find a way to relate the words to a car accident/chase?
In the little booklet that comes with the meteora CD it says the intro is just some computerised sampling,I don't think LP had any intention of related the song with a car incedent
hmm, i dont understand what you mean. the ambulance sound is kinda there, but i dont get the braking car.
Call me weird but I listened to a sound of an ambulance that was in a song and it sounded like the beginning sample of Lying From You...
i heard that long before but chose to ignore it as i thought it was just a coincidence.Anyway the lyrics in no way relate to an accident
Its a sampled violin.......durrr they took and sampled a single note that a violin was playing and just changed the pitch to create a chord progression and made the sample....you can tell because the "grains" of the sound are actually extended when the sample is at a lower pitch.....if it were a car horn...it would have been a continuous tone.
haha dude.. ur crazy.. ive listened to this song a million times and it never crossed my mind til u made this post.. i even tried listening for it.. i respect your idea.. but its just a fantasy..
If you listen to the sound of the pitch going from high to low, it does give the same kind of effect you get when a car beeping its horn or a police car/ambulance goes by you at a high rate of speed, how the pitch shifts and gradually slides down as if it was moving away from you. But other than that, it doesn't sound like a car at all to me.
yeah i can sorta see hoe you could get that. It's an interesting thought but highly unlikely. Thanks for posting this though! I like a good thread that make you think.
The only thing related to a car is the sample that sounds like a car slamming on the brakes right before the guitars.
