CD comes out September 19th (tomorrow). Everybody should buy this CD because in my opinion it is one of the best albums I've heard in a looooooooong time (it's a modern day Illmatic in my opinion). You can hear the whole album on Lupe's Myspace, but please support him by buying his CD. For the people who heard it, what are your favorite songs? Mine are defitnatly "The Instrumental", "The Cool", "Pressure", and "He Say She Say". For people who haven't heard the album, what is your opinion on Lupe?
Lupe is by far one of the best rappers currently making music. He has great skill behind the mic and you can tell if you listen to any one of his songs. My favorites off the CD would have to be "The Instrumental", "Pressure ft. Jay-Z", and "Daydreamin' ft. Jill Scott".
Yeah. Tilted is a bonus track on the album if you buy it from Best Buy. I like the Pink Floyd mash-up of it better than the original version.
It's a great album. He's one of the only rappers I actually like. Mike Shinoda, SOB and Jay-Z are on that list too. Haven't listened to it that many times yet but right now my favourite songs are 'The Cool', 'Kick, Push', 'Daydreamin'', ... aah, they're all good.
i've heard kick push (it was ok)...but then i heard never lies and honestly i was blown away...the guy is so amazingly talented!! can anyone tell me whether the instrumental is the real version of never lies or not? coz in never lies there is mike's name on the chorus and in the instrumental it's jonah matranga. someone plz clarify this.
Mike never did any vocals on the song, he did the production and yes, The Instrumental is the album version of Never Lies and as far as I can tell, nothing was changed.
It seems pretty decent so far. The only songs I've listened to that much are 'Kick Push' and 'The Instrumental'.
The Instrumental has worn off on me...I really liked it when it first leaked but now I've listened to it so much that it doesn't seem to fit the rest of the CD Kick, Push, however, hasn't gotten old yet and I've listened to that a shit load too.
I'm loving this album so far. Lupe's lyrical ability is just outstanding. The third verse in "Hurt Me Soul" I just love.
I have to say. The album outro is just mad I can't believe he made a song of him just thanking everyone for 12 mins
I only listened to the demo once, so maybe that's why I still like it. I can't get enough of the keyboard and piano in that song at the moment.
