Wow, people are quick to bash it since it's got a lot of instrumentals. Seriously, wait till you've heard it. As for the WID Distorted Remix, I'll admit that's a bit of wtf-ery for me too.
more invisible text.... Unfortunate - It starts of with a piano intro. No I wouldn't say it is anything like A.06, I would say it's more like Drawing (Breaking the habit demo) that we had from LPU9, it's very reanimated with strange sounds. Parts of this song sound so similar to Drawing. Halo - nope not like A.06 either, it's actually quite mellow and it gets a little heavy on the guitar around the 2.38min mark
LPU 9 1. A-Six (Original Long Version 2002) 2. Faint (Demo 2002) 3. Sad ("By Myself" Demo 1999) 4. Fear ("Leave Out All the Rest" Demo 2006) 5. Figure.09 (Demo 2002) 6. Stick And Move ("Runaway" Demo 1998) 7. Across The Line (Unreleased Demo 2007) 8. Drawing... LPU X 01. Unfortunate (2002 Demo) 02. What We Don't Know (2007 Demo) 03. Oh No (Points of Authority Demo) 04. I Have Not Begun (2009 Demo) 05. Pale (2006 Demo) 06. Pretend To Be (2008 Demo) 07. Divided (2005 Demo) 08. What I've Done (Mike Shinoda Remix) 09. Coal (1997 Demo) 10. Halo (2002 Demo) I think some are overreacting just a bit. I'll reserve full judgment for when I finally hear LPU X, but this is nowhere close to being the worst release from the LPU archive. (aherm, LPU 7 T_T....) I'd rather have clean instrumentals without unwritten mumbling vocals tattered over it.
Hey look on the bright side. Instrumentals are sweet. Look at Wake, Lockjaw, etc. And two new LP songs with vocals? Good enough for me I suppose. I'm not going to bullshit you and tell you I'm happy with the tracklisting, but we got over 25 new songs this year.
I'm not trying to complain, I'm glad we're getting any new songs at all, but I wish Coal was a song with vocals by Mark Wakefield. I think it's from before Chester joined the band.
I like your posts. highlight this if you want more info on the Mike track.... Some of these instrumentals are really good! Track 5 - Pale (2006 demo) is actually really good IMO, there are so many elements to it and it's over 5mins long. Track 4 - I Have Not Begun - This is the song with Mike rapping, kinda FM-ish and has a glitchy effect at the end. This could have made the album I think (with a little bit more work) I'm liking this track. It starts of with "Ladies and gents sorry to keep ya'll waitin', this goes out to everybody still hatin'..."
Ladies and gents sorry to keep ya'll waitin', this goes out to everybody still hatin' I'll dedicate this track to someone.
It looks like it was just that change though. FTI was played afterwards. Oh, and those lyrics are awesome.
Imagine if The Catalyst had an instrumental version but they never finished the vocals and released the instrumental on LPUX. Something of the quality. /thread
I enjoy The Catalyst, however the lyrics "God bless us everyone," always throw me off. Never cared for that line. It could have something to do with being an ex-Christian, not gonna lie.
