Yeah, reminds me of Metallica in some way!
And the piano on "Berlin One, Version C" is maybe what became Iridescent.

Really loving the 2008 fuckin' heavy demos!

EDIT: this BTH demo is hilarious! hahahaha

Okay guys I've listened to the full thing.... and I'm kinda disappointed.

    1. Aubrey One - 2009
The demo from the LPU XIV trailer. A very atmospheric and dissonant rock track that has a chord progression mimicing that of last year's "Basquiat".

    2. Malathion + Tritonus - 2008
Part of this song would have become one of the main riffs for "Mark The Graves" later on. Very raw sounding with the classic "demo-y midi drums". Long and somewhat repetitive but changes tempo near the end into a punk beat.

    3. Berlin One - 2009
Whats with all the Berlin stuff? Anyway. Cool beat over piano and some atmospheric sounds and effects. Very much ATS sounding.

    4. Blanka - 2008
Bullshit this was from 2008. This sounds like it was straight from the THP sessions. My personal favourite. Bridge is kind of jarring to listen to but weirdly reminded me of the groove from the Wastelands bridge.

    5. Heartburn - 2007
I get the feeling I've heard this before somewhere, probably in some sort of LPTV. Very chilled track. Don't know where they were going with this.

    6. BTH Mike Vocals
There's definitely a reason why he didn't sing on anything until M2M. I feel embarassed for him. Considering I didn't think he had any involvement in the lyric process with this song though I am quite surprised.

    7. Dave Sbeat ft. Joe - 2009
No. Just no lol. Phoenix go home you're drunk.

    8. Froctagon - 2009
It's like a faster Given Up with a slower beat in the chorus and terrible mixing. I think mike performed the drums on this demo.

    9. Rhinocerous - 2002
Demo that was played in Vienna. Again kinda bad mixing. It sounded better when somebody recorded it from that Meet & Greet than in this recording - can hardly hear the drums. Disappointing.

    10. After Canada - 2005
Sounds more like a Meteora demo than something from 2005. Not bad but nothing special.

    Overall. 6/10

    Favourites:
    Blanka
    Malathion + Tritonus
    Aubery One

    Comments:
I'm not sure if it's just the shock of hearing Linkin Park so raw or the fact that they tried to pick all the badly mixed ones to emphasis the point of The Hunting Party... either way I've heard much better quality demos from them than these ones. "Dave Sbeat ft. Joe" was clearly a troll to everyone that was expecting Grecian.

Damn, I have to listen to this. I would never have imagine that ATS might have began as an heavy project, somehow.

Was Mike who actually wrote the lyrics that came to be the final ones.

Malathion + Tritonus was done for the ATS era? Wow, wish they would have continued that song.

    PISSING IN THE ROOM!

I can't stop laughing at this BTH demo. More than likely just Mike trying to figure out the melody of the song to pass on to Chester, but it's still hilarious.

EDIT: Aubrey One is extremely similar to another LP song, possibly another demo? I can't think of it, anyone know it? The 2:40 mark to be exact. I've definitely heard it before.
