Just for shiggles, and maybe I might record this with tons of harmonies and stuff and do a proper cover, but I decided to ATTEMPT tightening up the lyrics a bit and see what I could do with it. These aren't correct to the actual Primo demo, but the song kind of reminds me of Romeo and Juliet, so I took that feel and went with it. Like shining oil, this night is dripping down The stars are slipping now ... glistening And I'm trying not to think of what I'm leaving, now No overthinking now, it's time you let me go. Let us go. And then carry on You won't miss me when I'm gone Don't let anyone get in your way. Just carry on Because one day, I'll be gone I won't let anyone take your place ...I'm going home. This air between us is getting thinner now Into winter, now... bittersweet. Across that horizon our sun is setting down There's no forgetting now, I have to let you go. Let us go. So carry on You won't miss me when I'm gone Don't let anyone get in your way. Just carry on Because one day, I'll be gone I won't let anyone take your place Take your place. Tell them I couldn't help myself. Tell them I was alone. Tell them I was your only one So there's nothing that can stop me From going home. (Out there in the silence, I'll be...) Going home. (Climbing through tomorrow, I'll be...) Going home. Tell me I was your only one So there's nothing that can stop me From coming home.
Is it too much to say this is one of LP's best songs ever and it's only a demo of "I'LL BE GONE"? Oh my goodness, I had those goosebumps listening to this and now it's on repeat. This is SO SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than "I'LL BE GONE". And the lyrics needing to be stronger is something I understand because it's a demo, but my goodness I would've loved IBG if THIS was the version, plus the stronger lyrics that ended up in the final version. Except keep THIS chorus instead of the final chorus. Absolutely one of my favorite choruses ever.
Am I crazy or do I hear Mike in the first verse? Sounds like he's singing with Chester and it's fading in and out. Other thoughts. This is way better than the final version, except the lyrics in the chorus, but then again I prefer the lyrics in the bridge and all the other lyrics. It makes me wonder how different LITE, and LGM were as they were also other songs I wasn't too satisfied with on LT. (BID too but I doubt that the demo is anything different than the final except even more awful lyrics.) I'm also wondering since this is labeled a demo, what the two unfinished songs could be. Is this the first time that LP has distinguished them as such? It makes it seem like that the demos will be almost complete with vocals and such and the unfinished songs would be stems, or some such. (Excluding tracks that are purposely instrumental in the final form.) And if the rest of the first half of the album is just as different... LP could have released those tracks on LP RECHARGE. We'd not have known they were demos and it would be more like reanimation. xD
Oh, definitely. I'm absolutely in love with Primo's chorus, I just wanted to change some of the lyrics so that I could have an excuse to shoe-horn "I'll be gone" into it.
Oh, yeah. Sorry for the double post, but I just remembered there are all these "PRIMO" drum samples scattered throughout the LP Stagelight kits.
Why didn't they put this song to the album... I find it much more interesting than IBG and it evokes more emotions in me. I don't understand. Well, okay, IBG is simple and coherent, which often works well. And it has its moments. It's a decent song and it fits the atmosphere of the overall album well. But still, I like this version a lot more. It's so much more interesting and more emotional, I think. So fresh. The intro of this song reminds me of LTGYA, somehow. The chorus has a nice swing to it, kind of. I usually don't like this type of choruses but this one fits the song really well. And Chester's vocals are amazing! Me too. ♥ I actually didn't notice that until I read your comment. Wow, am I becoming deaf...
Ah, I see xD. Only logical explanation tbh .. BTW reading your post you mention specifically "two unfinished songs", I was wondering where did you read that exact number, am I missing something?
Disregard the part that mentions two specific unfinished songs. I totally misread by reading too fast... But I got it from this ". The album will feature a collection of demos and unfinished songs along with two additional tracks" haha. D_D Still, my point about unfinished songs being distinguished from the demos still stands... whats the difference? Are they going to be songs we've never heard any of before? Hmm..
Personnaly, I see it like this: Demos = demos of songs we already know, or maybe other completed demos (like Across The Line or I have Not begun) Unfinished songs = songs that didn't make the cut for any album and were left unfinished (like Asbestos, Debris, or all those instrumentals) But I might be wrong of course ahah
I want LP next albums to sound like that ... as an intro http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CyuqfO54u_8 That music is said to be produced by mike. Good job mike !!!!!!
It actually has samples from the stagelight demo "Space Station" all over it, and yes, it seems like this video was scored by Mike. But isn't that a little bit off-subject?
If that was the intro to the new LP album, it is quite possible, only a chance, but still quite possible that I might actually cum.
