Not to mention it says 'When They Come For Me' at the beginning.
To confirm: Yes, it is in Spanish. The only thing I could gather before the volume of the music went up was "Listen to me now" (Escuchame ahora). However, this is pretty badass. I still think The Catalyst beats out what we've heard so far but Wretches is really growing on me. What's in the video sounds pretty badass, too.
Joe edited and put the name on the original post later.
I think on the last line they translate literally from spanish. I think they tried to say 'you need to obey' and they translate it literally from there, but that's not the exact meaning on spanish. They tried to say 'Tenéis que obedecer', translated to english is 'you have to obey' and if I'm not wrong it's the same than 'you need to obey'. Need is in spanish 'necesitar'. That's it.
I'm talking about in the video.
Woah, you must have got in fast. I changed that in the first like two minutes, haha.
He's so fast he make you all say WOAH
They must've upped another video, because at first they put up one with .mov at the end and if I remember correctly that didn't have the track name anywhere. That, or I completely missed when they mentioned it hah.
Hahahaha great! Brad speaking in Spanish is funny! Although I'm a spanish speaker, I can't get a lot of the stuff he says.
I can hear
"El gobierno está buscando (something else I can't get)
toda la gente, escuchénme ahora
preste atención (something else I can't get)
ahora mismo (or ahora es tiempo) preste atención
(something else I can't get) momento oficial -> not sure
estoy alertando a estar seguros' " <- not sure about this
Translation would be
Government is searching (something else I can't get)
All the people, listen to me now
everyone listen to me
listen to me
pay attention (something else I can't get)
pay atenttion right now (or 'now it's time)
you need to obey
(something else I can't get) official moment
I'm warning you to be safe "
Bueno si tu lo dices tu raiz gramatical española es mas antigua que la mia (mexico) pero segun mis clases de ingles seria need (medio para un fin) y have(denota pertenencia o tiempo compuesto) pero no hay mucha diferencia.
Wow...just, wow, never expected WTCFM to sound like this, hope it's a good song in its entirety.
I won't speak spanish here, because this is an anglophone forum, but there is pretty much difference between need and have according to the context. Need to it's not necesitar. And that's the point. But whatever, they are mistaken
yes they are mistaken, weird that they dont hired someone who help them with that part
Someone please make the clip of Brad using the microphone and chanting the words "obey! you need to obey" into a gif. Otherwise im gonna invest some time into a new and potentially really popular meme.
this is awesome
reminds me to carousel a little with that voice from chester
