A new episode of LPTV FROM ZERO has just been uploaded to the official Linkin Park YouTube channel. In this episode we get to see some great behind the scenes footage of Linkin Park climbing atop the 02 dome in London before their performance at the 2024 League of Legends Worlds event. We're also treated to plenty of footage of the band before their performance in Paris, including checking out the stadium stage and Phoenix being bored before the band takes the stage. In Texas we get a short but promising country rendition of The Emptiness Machine performed by Mike Shinoda. You can check out the all this and more in the episode below. What do you think of the episode? Come and discuss in our forums. Source: Linkin Park YouTube
Loved this episode so much I particularly liked getting to see the band do the climb at the start, I feel like we've never gotten to see them do things like that while touring
I like seeing Mike singing LP songs weirdly for fun on that acoustic. I do that sometimes too when I sing along. Sometimes it's just fun to slip into a Goofy voice in a very serious song.
Mike singing that is making me crave more acoustic LP songs like The Messenger on future albums, like raw acoustic, not Sharp Edges acoustic.
Given the live rendition of My December, I think they could come up with a georgous acoustic session / EP / album, if they'd fancy the idea. Heck, that My December version is worth its own studio version.
Absolutely. If they wanted to do it they most certainly could. We know Brad has the chops on acoustic guitar from all the folky goodness we've heard in studio and demo recordings, and Mike's piano skill is not even a question. Plus Dave's cello experience!
Buuuuuuffffff an acoustic version like Nirvana's "MTV Unplugged" or Foo Fighters' "Skin and Bone" would be terrific. Also!!! I thought about it before and I'll say it: Live orchestral concert. Imagine APFMH's "you, tried to take the best of me" but with horns, tubas, cellos, damn.
If we're talking about our favorite songs on acoustic guitar, I might throw "Papercut" as my personal fav!
