This week's LPTV video is centered around Linkin Park's time in the studio crafting From Zero's nu-metal rager "Two Faced", in February of 2024. The episode focuses heavily on a session in Mike Shinoda's home studio, where he and Emily Armstrong are shown fine-tuning what would eventually become the song's vicious bridge vocal, with footage of Armstrong doing take after take as the final direction reveals itself. I would have liked to see Joe coming together with the scratches, but I did like seeing that bridge vocal getting refined as well! Hoping they're holding back additional footage for something else...
So the vocal for the bridge comes from a sarcastic comment Emily says when people talk to her. Imagine how different the song would be if her sarcastic comment was "Okay, mom."
Glad to see Brad actually playing some guitar for the record. Up until now he seemed there only in a producer role basically, which made his presence in all the promotional material as an active member... a little weird, I guess? But at least we now know for sure that there are some Modern Guitar God™ Riffs in From Zero LOL
It's great how those episodes capture Mike getting pumped up at Emily's takes. Also, yeah, that tidbit with Brad was very much "see, he played!"
