Nice instrumental background in this episode!

I forgot about that one Meteora demo, I know it was on the Lost Demo CD, sounds pretty cool actually

Edit : Wesside! I had to look that up, admittedly

The artwork at 1:05 recalls a set of A Thousand Suns art pieces if I'm remembering correctly. ATS was glitchy, this looks like it's behind glass. So it's the same effect with a different texture.

The art direction in general has been very A Thousand Suns right from the jump. Abstract and full of deep colors.

We get a decent look at some lyrics at 2:29. Here's what I was able to make out, with a series of x's where I can't make it out:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | Dying for one drop | Your remedies hypnotize | I never say stop
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | I'm trying to remember how to make up my mind | The clock xxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx that it's forgiven this time | I give you everything I have | All you give
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | just a devil with a god complex | I'm not the enemy | You make me out
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | Drowning, sinking | Left with nothing left | I give you everything I have
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | Hoping it'll snap me out | When this happens again | And the clock keeps
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx how to make up my mind | The clock keeps ticking / the rules aren't
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx this time | I give you everything I have | All you give me is your ugliness
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | Just a devil with a god complex | I'm not the enemy | You make me out to be | And I'm
xxxxx | Wishful thinking | Drowning sinking | Left with nothing left | I give you everything I have | From now on I
don't need you | From now on xxxxxxxx

So pretty sure that's IGYEIH, which means I Give You Everything I Have.

Working on the song underneath it which is probably Good Things Go

I like the connection Frank made between the artwork being very physical and organic to reflect how the band reformed. Makes me also think of Emily's comment in the recent podcast about how she came from a very live band songwriting background.

    Oshit we have the name

    Good Things Go

Feels like it's rained in my head for a hundred days
Stare in the mirror and I look for another face
And I get so tired of putting out fires and making up lies
Checking my eyes for some kinda light, but
    Nothing's inside and it
Feels like it's rained in my head for a hundred days

    And I
    Say I hate you when I don't
Push you when you get too close
It's hard to laugh / When I'm the joke
But I can't do this on my
Only you can save me from my
    Lack of self-control
Sometimes bad things take the place where good things go

I've asked for forgiveness a hundred times
Believed it myself when I halfway apologized
And it's not unfair I'm asking for prayers but
    Nobody cares
    Going nowhere like falling downstairs
    While everyone stares
No one's there when I've asked for forgiveness a hundred times

    And I
    Say I hate you when I don't
Push you when you get too close
    It's hard to laugh
    When I'm the joke
But I can't do this on my
Only you can save me from my
    Lack of self-control
Sometimes bad things take the place where good things go

No, I'm just taking a shot / oh
Maybe I'm just too eager / oh
Maybe I lost the plot / ha
I used to pity some people / I
Said they were missing a spine / yeah
Maybe my problem is ego / maybe the
Maybe the problem is mine / really I'm fine
Don't get too intimate don't get too curious
This is just feeling like it's not that serious
Stare at the ceiling / feeling delirious
Fuck all your empathy I want your fury 'cause I will just
Tell you I'm better then / better then
Spit out my medicine / medicine, ay
Drunk on adrenaline / drenaline ay

    And I don't know why I
    Say I hate you when I don't
Push you when you get too close
    joke
But I can't do this on my
    Only you can save me
From my lack of self control
And I won't make excuses for the pain I caused us both
So thank you for always xxxxxxxxxx through
Sometimes bad things take the place where good things go

Seems to me to be an emotionally-charged closer (possibly) sung by Mike. I noticed that lyrical callback to Sorry for Now!

Don't know if it's been mentioned here, but I saw on Reddit a few days ago that Good Things Go (a demo of it surely) was on Mike's computer during the 2020 live streams.

    EDIT: Here at 43:20.

Oh wow I see it now that you say it! I glossed right over that. Yeah I get the Mike lead vocal vibe from this as well.
First time I'm heard of this but damn the hounds are sniffing.

This has been cooking for a while then.

Shinoda's trying to entice me into buying more editions of the album but it's not going to work. :bookread:

It all looks great but I'm happy with just buying the CD. Everything is quite expensive on the LP/Warner store.

Even the band seem a little taken aback by the amount of variants…

Love the idea of textured album covers though :)
