I'm going to say something that I'm guessing you have never heard before on this forum! I have been a huge Linkin Park fan since Hybrid Theory! Really, you have heard that before? I have no clue however, why it took me so long to find this website. Luckily I came across a post on twitter that sent me to LPA, and I've spent the last few hours checking everything out shocked that I'd never heard of you good people before. A bit about me.... I am 31(is that old for this site?) and first heard LP (that's short for Linkin Park, oh you knew that too?) when I was working at the Post Office. I would sit at a computer for 8 hours a day entering addresses into the computer system and were allowed to bring a walkman to work. This is before you kids and your m3p's. Just kidding, I'm not that old to not know what it's called. Anyways, I heard One Step Closer and thought it was really good, and shortly thereafter heard Crawling and that did me in. How could the same band have two drastically sounding songs like this and both be amazing? To make a long story a bit shorter (I'm a rambler), I purchased the CD the next day and would spend many 8 hour days listening to the album about 15 times or so. If your mail was sent to the wrong address around Hybrid Theory, I apologize. What else, what else.... Ooooh I have a good one! I was born and raised in Glendale Arizona and graduated high school in 1997. My brother graduated in 2002 and was on the yearbook staff. One day he called me and said, "What is that guys name in Linkin Park with the amazing voice?" I said, "Joe Hahn." No I didn't, although his voice is lovely. So I said it was Chester Bennington and he said, you should grab your yearbook from your freshmen year, and there he was!!! Chester went to my high school and is in my yearbook!!!! I have heard he just went there for his senior year but it still counts. Does this make me a bigger Linkin Park fan than you? Yes it does. I guess that does it for my intro. I read the rules and hope that I haven't broken any. If I have, please make fun of me a lot, and then let me know where I screwed up.
We have been right here the whole time. Welcome to the Linkin Park Association. Have a cookie, *offers cookie*....
Welcome to LPA! We hope you enjoy your stay here . And btw, your first name wouldn't happen to be Jason would it? If so we read your email you sent to us and those were some very kind words. Thank you! If that's not you, welcome here anyways!
You broke the 'a new poster cannot be too awesome on the first day' rule. Your punishment is to be trapped in a well-decorated bedroom with all amenities and room service for 72 hours with 60 attractive virgin nymphomaniacs. Maybe you'll learn your lesson.
Thanks for all of the kind words everyone. Also thanks for the cookie Hawk! Minus, thanks a lot for the 60 nympho virgins, that sounds like a good time. I'm glad that the bedroom is well-decorated or else I wouldn't be interested in it at all. Derek, yes that was my email. I just wanted to thank everyone responsible for putting up this site since I just found it. I wish I was aware of it from the beginning, it's great to know I'm not the only person who is a hardcore LP fan. Thanks again, and I'll see you around the forums.
Hey Louis, consider us friends. I will do my best to help represent 'Zona well with you around the LPA. Jacob, I've thought of bringing my yearbook to a meet and greet and getting them to sign it. What do ya think? I think it would be kinda cool as opposed to just a CD or something like that. I'll try to take a picture and put it up today. Thanks again everyone, I love this site already!
No, thank YOU for your support. It's emails like the one you sent that have kept us going for the last 8 years. It's not always the easiest job in the world to manage such a large site, but knowing people appreciate all of our hard work definitely makes the difference. Thanks again for all your kind words. Enjoy LPA. I hope to see you around for a long time!
