Wow, Hawk! I agree with Trav. That was badass! I still have yet to listen to Anne's remix...

    You should, it's very creative.

And your brother did a very awesome job Hawk. I like the sound of it a lot.

My favorite parts? The chorus of New Divide, "Life me up, let me go", and how the song ends on two harmonics!
    Good work.

Nicely Done, Anne! I liked it! I still need to find someone to play guitar... We'll see what happens here.

Dude....lol I just saw your post in the recordings in UG forums. I knew it sounded familiar. But I was seriously blown away by your Im On a Boat cover. I hate that song but your cover is sweeeet.

An update on my entry: I haven't started yet but I'll start tomorrow because I have nothing to do on Sunday. I have a pretty sweet idea but I doubt I'll win seeing some of the other entries. It'll be fun making though.

Ok....soooooooo sorry. I really feel as if I'm getting on your nerves but I have another question and maybe you guys can give me some suggestions?
I'm practically doing an acoustic guitar/piano/drum cover (no improv, straight cover in time with the song, way too much schoolwork to write up a new instrumental) and need a bit of help.
First off, I can't sing. Your ears would bleed if i did. So....I have sheet music (thanks LP Songbook) for the vocals for Burning in the Skies. I don't know what to use to record that. Am I allowed to use orchestral strings on the keyboard? I was planning on using piano but there is piano in the song so something else would be needed for vocals. I already recorded (most) of the guitar and it would just blend in if I used acoustic to record vocals.......so......can I use strings? I remember hearing strings in someone else's cover and thought it was against the rules. Please? I'm 14, gimmie a break....please? I'll mail you a cookie.

Again, sorry for being an annoying pain in the :) with these questions.

It sounds terrible, it cuts through the mix too much and unless I make it really loud, the flute mixes with the guitar because I EQed it to be pretty trebly. So.....strings allowed? C'mon Derek...have a heart!!! ;)
