Here's mine: http://www.soundcloud.com/lpmaskmancick/linkin-park-numbient I used only Numb, Crawling and WFTE multitracks to create this remix.
I'm not going to lie, but I had the EXACT same start as you. Now I don't feel like putting up mine lol.
Question. I want to use a song that isn't necessarily Linkin Park, but features Chester in 2005. Is that okay? The song is 'Walking Dead (feat. Chester Bennington) by DJ Z-Trip'
Alright folks, I'm back. It's been about a year since my last entry (last october), but I have an instrumental that I've been working on that I think will fit nicely with this genre. It is a VERY loose interpretation of Burn It Down. I sampled the synth line behind Mike's rap verse for this instrumental, and that is really the only "Linkin Park" aspect of this mix, so far. It includes classic piano, ambient strings and a slightly unconventional song structure. If it gets approved as acceptable for this genre, I will put some work into sampling vocals and trying to make them fit somehow. Let me know what you all think! I hope it fits, I am really enjoying this piece of music I threw together. -jason http://soundcloud.com/jason39/ticklin-mad-ivories-320kbps
Majiks, I'll allow it for this month only because it features Chester. If it didn't I'd have to say no.
I asked this exact question in the shoutbox one evening ... and finished a rough mix the very next day. The others are showing off things they prepared earlier, if you read their posts.
So uh... This will be bad. But. Uh. Well, okay, here goes nothing. This is my first remix. Ever. I have next to no musical talent, and just work with FL Studio and VST plugins. However, I felt motivated to at least attempt to give this particular song an ambientish remix. ...The thing is, though? I'm good with beats; not melodies. I'm thinking of taking the beats I made with this and asking for a collaboration with someone, but... This is what I've got so far, I'm still working on it, but feedback would greatly help. http://soundcloud.com/adaminator1/base-ambient-mix-v2-fixed
Hey Elaine! Good work for a first try. "I have next to no musical talent". I know your feeling. Well, I liked of what you did there. I just have to say something: The party begins at 1:45 loses some feature of the environment that you created. If you could reenter the first synthesizer with the other sounds you had to 1:45, you may leave the deeper sound. But that's just my opinion, and not know anything about music.
http://soundcloud.com/switchface/enitities-that-crawl-at-night Here's a little something for the contest. Those shattered vocals are from Crawling. Everything else is a work of my own. I guess I can call this my official submission for the contest. Hope you guys enjoy it
