This is really good, but I would drop the black out parts. They dont fit well at all. Maybe use something from the original DT song's vocals?

I love this. Although, when you overlapped the two vocals from 1:28 to 1:53, they didn't fit together too well.
    Besides that, it was fantastic.

We can't provide links to copyrighted material on the forums. You'll have to search for the instrumental off these forums.

As for the program, I'm wondering as much as well.

Mashups can be created with Fruity Loops, Reason or Cubase. All work well.

i would recommend sony acid. mostly cause it has this nice feature called beatmapper. it'll help you stretch music very easily so the different rhythms could fit each other properly. and its interface is very friendly.

Right now I'm using Mixcraft, which is pretty cheap and I recommend it if you're going to be making more mashups or other music in the future and you want to save money. In the past I've used Sony Acid, Mixcraft (God, I hate Mixcraft), and even Audacity but Audacity will just be a pain for mashups if you don't know what you're doing. Find some software that has beat mapping because it will help you a lot, though it's not as reliable for acapellas because there's no beat to go along with them.

If you don't know where to start, first you need your material. Usually a Google search will help you out and sometimes you can actually buy instrumentals/acapellas if the artist sells them. Sometimes people get multitracks from music games like Rock Band but that is a much trickier process. Once you have the songs you're looking for, you're best starting off with the instrumental track and making sure the beat of the metronome in the software matches the song's beat. Then add in the acapella. If it's not matching up you'll need to adjust the BPM (beats per minute) for that track to match the instrumental, or change the instrumental to match the acapella as some people have different preferences. Most of the time, songs won't just match up perfectly like you like or have sections that you want in other places. You'll need to make some cutting and pasting of some measures and make sure everything flows smoothly and there's no skipping or anything that feels out of place. Make sure you adjust volumes accordingly. Hope that helps.

While your intentions are honorable, we ask our members to not send someone copyrighted material via email/PM (especially advertising publicly that they're doing so) as it's no better than us uploading it ourselves. LPA being a bridge to copyright infringement is not something we'd prefer to be. Please refrain from doing that. If he wants it that bad, Google is the best solution.
