Great mix, really enjoyed this, it's a great mash-up. The combination of the LP vocals with the female vocal samples is killer. Unfortunately, I don't think a mash-up complies with the MMU rules, but I enjoyed this nonetheless, so thanks for uploading.
Yaseen's Linkin Park / The Prodigy mash-up is very cool however all work for this month's competition must be original. Well done regardless Yaseen, it would have been cool to see this in the month of the mash-up. Wicked. This is quite cool. I'd love to hear you mess around with the vocals a bit more but well done regardless. You've certainly covered drum 'n' bass.
Thank you for the awesome genre Is definitely time for me to have another go at this, good luck everyone x
I seriously need to hurry up and learn how to remix properly. I'm much better at making mash ups. why don't we do a month of mash ups?
Thanks, yeah well, i wanted to do that actually but i decided to make it more "traditional" i dont know, i thought it would sound better with the normal stuff thank you for your feedback!
Thank you. I wasn't sure weather or not I could enter it (Forgot to mention that when I posted it), but you guys definately enjoyed it, which is all I wanted. Also just a side note, I made this (about) 4 years ago, I'll probably remake it when the time comes.
I still suggest you try to make an all original entry Yaseen, cause your mashup was pretty good. I think you'd be able to create a badass original remix .
Unfortuently I am also an unlucky member of time in the exam period. I wouldn't be able to start anything until the 25th. I will try throw something in. It won't be that great. But I will have atleast 5 straight days to work on it.
Excited to see DaveCNewton might be entering this month. Loved his BID remix in July, one of my favourite MMU entries! Looking forward to seeing what he does this month.
I like to incorporate d'n'b elements into my own stuff. The remix is a some sort of schizophrenic collabo between my 2 projects - Switchface and Dreamulacrum. The song was to be found on "Killing Things" - my remix album. And since it was on the album, the transition sounds can be heard. Nevertheless, enjoy. Comments and feedback - as always - more than welcome Damn, I forgot to mention which track it is. It's "Skin To Bone"
Manipulate instrumental samples underneath a vocal layer or two. That's as close to a mash-up as a traditional remix can get. I know this advice might not cover a genre-specific comp but it just comes down taking the rules you already know how to play by ... and twisting them.
How about an "acapella" theme for the next one? "All sounds must be done with the human voice" and all that.. That'll be pretty cool.
Haha you know it..... would it be cheeky of me to enter this one, or would you like another ? http://soundcloud.com/glen-orpheus/waiting-for-the-end-down-right
