thank you for the kind words really an honor but there is one thing i want to say we shouldnt forget the others work i mean sometimes there is stuff like trance, and i really dont like trance but i see the work behind this the judges make a good job here with filtering out good and hard working guys and lazy guys i think the most remixes, even if they dont fit it with the tempo sometimes are good, this community works so hard i really appreciate that and i look forward to every remixer here right now in the competition yoo well keep it real, lets do some remixes more and lets blow the judges mind with our community-power! hell yeah!
Thanks for giving me credits...but I just provided you the acapella...it wasn't actually made by myself, but by nice mate from a remixer group...
Lizzi has this shit in the bag, whether she picks her new or old remix. Tony, yours was great! That intro was fucking awesome. Soundtrack that shit.
Extremely high level this time! In my opinion the best month so far. Great job everyone! Here's my entry:
Well, here is my entry. Derek gave me permission to post my entry for this month. I ask that the judges do not play "favorites" because I am now a contributor. Also, I ask that they don't hold it against me. I want to point out that I made this entry when I was still a VIP and there was no knowing that I would be promoted here on the forum. I fully trust that the judges will be fair, and if my entry is good enough to place as a finalist, I would like to point out that I got there because of my track, not because of my position here on the site, Now that my disclaimer is out of the way, I really hope that you guys enjoy this... I can't figure out what to put in the soundcloud tag to make it show up here... Anyways, theres the URL. http://soundcloud.com/hybridsoidier/bought-in-the-echo Finally figured this thing out thanks to Todd!
okay - this idea is pretty cool i am not a master but i would do this if you want that not everything is super slow (the vocals) try to touch the instrumental and the acapella in the middle of the BPM - difference like LOST IN THE ECHO acapella is 120 and lets take an example... IN THE END Instrumental is 105 so i would fix every thing to kinda... 110 / 115 BPM so it doesnt sound that slow but not too fast for in the end either i dont know what the tempo of your instrumental is but i hope you know what i mean i like the mix i'm looking forward to your next mixed
If the vocals sound different, that's because the pitch was lowered to match that of Buy Myself. When the track was slowed down, it still sounded very much in the same pitch as it did in the regular version. The work on the vocals and the instrumental of LITE were both pitch corrected to not sound out of place. The way it sounds was diliberate and intentional.
Oh shit man. A lot different than I'm used to hearing from you, but not bad at all! Really exceptional job! Good luck man! Btw, loved the 'Behind Blue Eyes' incorporation! Really good stuff!! ~Pakkun Purgatory~
I really like the mix here. Really creative and interesting. Probably took a while to plan. Great work!
Thank you! i needed a comment like that after having to read mine was absolute shit lol Working on the remix now and hope to be done tonight
Thanks for the kind words. Don't think I'll be entering the comp, though If you're open to improving this at all, I suggest working on the transitioning between the verses and the choruses and making them blend well.
Thank you! With the track, I took more time on it than anything else I've done in the past. The thing that I was aiming for the most was for it to sound different from anything else this month. I love the gritty feeling of 'Buy Myself," and I feel like I conveyed that in my final track. I also want to that m_macdonald for giving me some insight on my track's progress. He pretty much acted as a producer by pointing out what I should fix, along with what he really liked in the track. He helped me out and pushed me to progress my track forward immensely.
