Hey. This may be a odd suggestion perhaps but I thought I'd try my hand anyway. A policy that implements calling for members of the board to help take pressure off of Moderators. The way it works. There is a random generator that picks at least 4 people that have no previous warning, or ones who's warnings have all expired that have an average post count per day - week - what ever. These four people will be given evidence and would be able to civilly discuss the issues with each other and decide if a person is "Guilty" or not. They would then be reviewed by a Moderator acting as "Final Judge" to see if their punishment seems fair. Or this could be rearranged-modified through the Moderators own conditions, all in all it's just a quick idea I thought I'd share.
Yup. Also, this would perhaps release some pressure from the Mods a bit. They have it hard and they work hard.
Thanks for the idea, and support of wanting to help us out, but I think we can handle everything in that department ourselves. We thoroughly discuss consequences between the staff and pretty much understand the way people feel about negative circumstances happening on these boards. The idea sounds a little similar to our ban appeal policy, which calls for the help of our trusted members. Thanks for the idea though, and you'll be the first to know if we ever to need stage our own Judge Judy event.
