What is with the LP community's OBSESSION with Pictureboard? Why is it so important to hear an old ass instrumental that was played once? It's probably no more spectacular than the old demos we've gotten off of the past couple LPU albums. And why does everyone PERSIST on talking about it and asking for it when it very clearly does not seem like it will ever see the light of day?
Cookie Monster... at least for me, it's like a nostalgia around this song. I don't know how or from where came this obssesion with Pictureboard, but, of course, this is one of the legends around of Linkin Park, this one being only knowed by the fans. Maybe this song has nothing of special. Maybe can be a horrible song, that justified the reason of not be in any album. Maybe is a wonderful song... But we don't know. With exception of LP and some people, no one knows. And therein lies the magic, because is a mysterious song, the most of all unheard songs them, that many people want to heard, just to know it. And I tell this: maybe Pictureboard can NEVER be released, just to preserve the nostalgia on it.
I'd like 1-2 instrumental demos. maybe 1-2 bsides. two "killer" remixes. 1-2 LT-demo-tracks (different lyrics, different musical parts). I dont believe in it but i'd really like a bside of Meteora with vocals and full instrumentation. Sure Don Gilmore accidently just picked the wrong songs.
I think that they THOUGHT that they "have to make VICTIMIZED longer", but I don't think that they "tried to do". ;O Again, just IMO.
Actually a demo of Victimized MIGHT be a long track. It's on the documentary, Mike said that the song had become a heavy song after Chester's vocals had been included. It was initially meant to be a track in the vein of Roads Untraveled.
The documentary about Battle Axe? I can't understand anything that they say in the video. My English sucks.
Yes, after Chester laid down the first cut of chorus Mike asked him to do another one and said that the song was "hardcore" now. The original lyrics were these ones: “ … for mercy I’ll be there Build me up from the depths of my despair Make me whole and deserving And then I’ll take back the Make me At the start I was [full of something true] In the end I was nothing [And I will promise you one thing] [I will never be fooled again] From the start I was [helpless in your hands] After all I was nothing And I will promise you I’ll never let again Won’t be hurt again” Second version (Gang vocals): “No regret for the promises betrayed No more hiding in shadow ‘cause I won’t wait for the debt to be re-paid This I promise you”
