Hello everyone! my first post here. I made an account because ive been waiting for a specific song from lp since 2003. It was on the making of meteora videos. It had some piano,typical lp structure. In the video it shows rob tracking drums to the song. I really hope you guys know what song. Heres the link. That was a letdown. Ive been doing the same thing every lpu cd. Anyone know any additional info/name or anything relating to this song? Id love to hear some feedback! Anyone else dyin for this song? Also what about grecian! thats another one that sounded great and we never got.

 

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but the more I listen to DSPs the more I'd love a studio version of their Sabotage cover. That would be pretty sick!

 

Unfortunately LP doesn't want to do studio covers of the songs they cover because they think that it makes it less special so that's probably out of the question. What I think they should do is finally release a professionally recorded version of their cover of My Own Summer like for what they did with Wish on LPU4.

 

Wow, dedicated fan! I hope they finally release that Meteora demo as well, it sounded really cool. Grecian probably won't ever come out, because LP totally stopped working on it before making Qwerty for Summer Sonic, and Rob said that the song never really went anywhere, so it's likely what we heard on the making of MTM is the farthest the song ever got.

 

Can't think of anything but Grecian and My December (Team Sleep Remix).

When will a tracklist get release

 

Most likely when LPU12 officially launches. For the last like 5 LPU releases, that's how it was. I remember that the 6.0 tracklisting leaked before the CD came out, but yeah. LPU12 will probably launch in mid November. Sometimes I get more excited for new LPU albums than I do LP albums. Lol.

 

Lost In the Echo alternative lyric version. I have a gut feeling.

Ohhh yeah! I am hoping for something like LPU8. It's the most ridiculous album ever!

BTW If I purchase an LPU membership right now, will it stay when they release LPU12?

Y'know what? I want the demos that made Mike say Living Things was rap-heavy.

 

Living Things was pretty rap heavy compared to the two albums that came before it.

MTM - 4 Verses
ATS - 6 Verses
LT - 9 Verses

But, i'd like to hear more rap stuff as well.

 

More than half of those verses were only eight bars long. That's not heavy, that's lean. And if you count Blackout and Blackbirds, that's eight verses on ATS.

 

I'd rather have the demos that made Chester say Minutes To Midnight was going to be all screaming, when he used to scream so much he wouldn't be able to record everyday because his throat hurt.

 

This. I want the rest of the "heavy MTM" demos.
