Hey, I have a question regarding the Linkin Park Street Team. In order to join, doesn't someone who's already on the Team have to invite you? I'm just curious.
I don't believe they're accepting members at the moment, but you do need an invite to apply. Then they'll review your application and say if you've been accepted or not. I think alot of it has to do with location.
Yeah. They're not accepting members at the moment. And yeah, you're right. If you're invited, you can apply. You have to answer some questions about the band, I think, and some questions about you assuming the responsibility of a Street Team member and whatnot.
You wouldn't believe the amount of LPJZ stuff I got for signing up to be a ST leader. Depends on where you live. There's not many, if any, Newfoundland street teamers. But yeah, alot of the stuff is US-exclusive. Like the FM goodies.
Anyone mind inviting me? Well I guess I won't have a positive reply for that. I'm in the FM street team and nothings happening down there.
There's only invites when they need new people. They're not accepting new people at the moment, nor do I know if they will when the new album comes out. But if they were to accept new people, it'd be around the end of the year, I'm guessing.
The street team was only available to LP Underground members the last time that it was opened up for applicants. I thought I'd point that out in case they go that route again. That's the only way I'm even on the street team. I don't do much, but I'll pass things out when I get them. I think they know I don't do much, because I don't get many packages; only when they really count, like to promote Fort Minor a couple months back.
I have a quiestion aswell; apart from 'Goodies' how does it benefit you being a member of the street team?
It's not "goodies," it's "promotional materials." As for other 'benefits'... perhaps, self-satisfaction? That you're helping your favorite band promote their material? That's really all a street team is... the group of folks who take that extra time to promote their favorite band(s) out of the sheer fanatics of it all.
I know when they accepted me, I got a T-shirt with the street team's then-logo on it. But that was technically used for promotional purposes, too.
